Wow, nice done and perfect filmed. Thank you for let us see. Without looking at the headstock-Style i would say juhuuu it is a Gibson! Most headstock/Neck Cracks happen on a Gibson.
The inner dimensions are - 5&5/8" x 3&13/16" this allows the bit to travel 2&3/8" with the Bosch Colt router. The splines I made myself from 1/4" maple and just rounded the ends. Thanks for watching and good luck with the jig.
I'm looking for someone to repair a broken Gibson SG headstock with splines. Do you have a website or contact info? I'm in Canada, think I detect a Canadian accent. Let me know. Thanks,
I've certainly used titanium rods on each side of the truss rod ,under the fretboard, this works fine ,carbon fibre is also used that way. The problem you may have is in shaping the spline, using other materials other than wood. Todays glues will glue just about anything ,and titanium seemed to file ok, so it could possibly work. If you attempt it let me know.
