I was actually not disappointed in this at all. The song is actually incredibly catchy and I consider rookie era to be a free for all where groups can explore and show off different concepts. They gave us On and On and now we get a Broken Heart, which shows us they are capable of doing both sorts of concepts and styles, and while I like On & on better as an overall song, Broken Heart is one of those songs that will feel incredible in a live setting. The dance for it elevated the performative aspect a lot, and I can just imagine seeing them in concert and getting Broken Heart, with the sounds resonating everywhere. So, while it is different than their debut, I’d argue that this comeback will have a place in their discography just as much, especially in a concert set list. I love a group that can serve with dynamic concepts. Edited to add: And the layering for this song is also incredibly intricate. Every listen I am hearing something new. I’m also unashamedly a fan of ‘noise’ music because I love being able to hear new details every time.

That's great to hear and another way to view this first comeback! As I mentioned, groups these days can definitely switch it up often like this for sure. So, first impression and performance wise it works for them since I remember them throwing on an amazing performance for their debut. On another note, as someone who has a background of music - I find it difficult to view or label these releases as "noise" music as there's genres/influences linked to the respective tracks. In this case, 'Broken Heart' takes a 2010s EDM influences with Hip-hop and dance. We can view the attitude and performance as what I call it "upfront and in our faces". But I get what you guys are trying to say in regards to "noise" haha

@@Garrison_ I don’t actually call it noise music, thus my own quotation marks. After going to AB6IX’s concert, I have a better appreciation for a dynamic set list though. I think not liking the song is valid, but I also think we should give them a few comebacks to explore and show their colors. If you’re craving more high energy, happy boy group concepts though, I’d definitely recommend Happy & from n.SSign and Atlantis from Waker.

I love broken heart more. You guys should watch performance MV only. Bcs they not back and forth from clip to clip and focus on performance only. I love their synergy on dance.

I feel the same tbh It's kinda disappointing me bc I expect something bright like On And On Like we know they can do better. They're able to. But the choice of the songs for their second single album might be not the best follow up from their debut single. I just pray they won't do ampers&one like they do cherry bullet. That they can't fully show their potential by giving them mid releases. I hope they can handle their groups as serious as they handle p1harmony. They can do better for sure.

Yeah, I expected something along the lines from their debut too! It's unfortunate, as this comeback doesn't give us a sense of what they are aiming towards (in a way I like to have a level of expectation where I know what direction/style a group is going towards). In this case, 'Broken Heart' isn't unique or different than other mainstream releases. I agree with the track record of their label since the consistency of providing resources have been lacklustre. For example, Cherry Bullet has IT but doesn't have the proper marketing and etc. So, hopefully they can step it up for AMPERS&ONE in the future comebacks!
