I don’t think I clicked with this game as much as I wanted, but the aesthetic was beautiful, the soundtrack was great and Im glad I saw it through to the end

@Toaster Nerd this game is a masterpiece IV never felt more spoken to than this game as a whole

@Toaster Nerd this is an open ended game that has any angle of speculation you want, but I think it has a deeper meaning into death and the broken remembering of things before death. I don't think it has too much to do with a lover and getting lost, but more about death and suicide. That's just my interpretation. There's two different ways to end it and both end the same. Not gonna dump my view out and say it's final and jazz, but I really believe it's more on broken memories before death and the rush to save stuff that can't be saved and yadadadada. Very comfy and thought provoking game that took a twist for the eerie and sad. Beautiful ending and a beautiful game. Wish there was more endings or answers, but I'm satisfied with what there is. Could just be a crazy world going bye-bye that's the symbolic representation of the internet and not anything super deep, but yee. Everyone has their own speculations and jazz.

@Toaster Nerd I definitely got that vibe. Finished the game last night and was frequently reminded of old abandoned social games like worlds.com and there.com. People still cling to a lot of those old virtual worlds, even though these artificial realities tend to break down as technology advances.

Honestly the way I took it was a bit more...I suppose simple, for lack of thinking of a better term. - Spoilers and such I guess - All of the quests in the game resulted in mundane rewards, fake stuff, or even the questgiver literally telling you what you did...it was pointless. Even the final quest for Error results in essentially "please don't hate me for wasting your time" and following that sequence, you can choose to "follow the light" and "your choice" which is essentially to leave, or to stay - then you end up escaping the game and when you are back in reality, the girl in your room refuses to face you - until you turn the game off and turn around to her standing up looking at you, finally. It seems to me the game is basically saying there is no real gain for spending your entire life in a virtual world. The real world is beautiful too, and when you finally turn off the game that had you fishing and taking pictures for likes to spend on memes and the further you progressed, the less colorful and fantastic the world seemed as it 'evolved' from leisure on the beach to the city life, then 'devolved' to the hellscape(ish) at the very end ... when you finally turn it off and face the real world, you're rewarded with essentially bliss and a musical track that oozes "release/freedom" ... Something that started off as something you loved (beach/leisure) became almost a job (city) before becoming mundane and meaningless (end area/hellscape or whatever it was) - all at the expense of reality/time. It was a Broken Reality. In a way, I feel like Toaster Nerd isn't entirely wrong. But it's less about your loved one specifically - all she represented is the world refusing to face you as you've turned your back on it, and finally embracing you when you're ready to do the same. There's a (somewhat) less pessimistic(ish) perspective I also see along the same path, resulting in the same or similar conclusion - essentially how games have gone through the same evolution as the game world. As you progress the world becomes more...marketed and less about leisure, even giving you a katana to cut through things like malware which becomes more of a problem as you progress as well. At the end of the game you (maybe) come to the same realization - it was all pointless and in the end, what you loved has ... changed ... and maybe it's time to give up the fake, broken reality and face (or embrace) the real one. In the same vein as the inspiration to vaporwave in the first place. Sort of. It's all pretty loose, purposefully ironically I think. I might be way off but that's how I felt about it anyway.

Can you please upload the song that plays in the void? You have to bring him some mixtape
@Knowitall66
@Knowitall66 5 лет назад
Sorry but I can't. The reason I could upload these two tracks was because they were stored differently to the rest of the games audio files. I did attempt to extract the others previously but had no success. So I'm afraid you'll have to wait for the official OST's release.
