Never heard of Lara before, she is a vocal monster. Sometimes we get lost in the musical minutia and then someone comes along that brings us back to what real talent is all about. Love to see her in person.

Can you imagine being in that audience and being able to hear her sing this song live? There couldn't have been a dry eye in the place. I wish I could go back in time and see this whole concert. Every song is an absolute gem. Great reaction. I get tears in my eyes every time I listen to this song, and I'm a 73 year old former musician that almost never listened to any other kind of music besides heavy metal. Then I was browsing through RU-vid and saw this beautiful woman being reacted to and was curious to see what the fuss was about. It was Jesuis Malade from this concert. From that point I was hooked. The performers nowadays need flashing lights and back up dancers and a hundred things going on at once. Lara comes out in a beautiful gown, a great orchestra, and just a little reverb on her voice, (no autotune) and you can't take your eyes off her and her voice is hypnotizing.

Lara Fabian is the ultimate storyteller and her vocal dynamics are emotionally captivating and you can feel her pain right through your soul ! She is a magnificent artist and is a vocal diva supreme ! Her stage presence is mesmerizing and her vocals are so hypnotic that you can't turn away from her ! She grabs at the fibres of your human heartbeat and it's tremendously powerful ! Lara is one of Dimash's favorite artists and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree when you see his performances ! After his death I found out that he had broken our wedding vows. I was devastated and I still am. I needed something that says what I feel and this song is as close as anything I’ve ever heard. The music of Broken Vow was co-composed by Walter Afanassiev and Lara Fabian. Walter Afanassiev, an american/brazilian from russian descent, is a legendary composer and producer (he composed some of the greatest initial hits of Mariah Carey such as All I Want for Christmas is You and was the producer of the Titanic soundtrack that brought Celine Dion to WW fame). He is also now the producer of Dimash for his US career. When this song was composed, Walter and Lara were engaged, but apparently he cheated and she decided to break up. When she took this decision, that she knew would dramatically change both her personal and professional destiny, she wrote these incredible lyrics. Lara has said this is her preferred english song from all the songs she wrote in this language (there are many, and some are pure jewels). I don't like to compare singers because each one has a peculiarity that makes them special and unique, but Lara Fabian is undoubtedly one of the best singers with a great voice that emerged from the 90s. Been following Lara for many years now. In Europe she is very well known. She really is my favourite vocalist. There are lots of vocalists with good voices but Lara's interpretation, vocalisation is more than just melody, she lives the song. She draws you in and you experience her feelings, her hurt, her pain, her emotions with her as if you are there, as if they are your emotions. She is a powerful vocalist and a superb actress. She sings better in French, I believe even better than in her native Italian language. I am so glad you found her.. She now is a Canadian Citizen I believe. Our loss and the Canada's gain! So glad I found your channel purely by accident. I cry every time I hear her singing, this song, and 'Je suis malade' for sure always get me deep in a place where had forgotten was there. She voices is cathartic and gets the listener to focus on experiences, pains, loves, and emotions that were buried, even when she isn't singing about anything like that personal hurt. It has helped me deal with things, find a resolution and then bury it so as to be able to pass onto the next stage of my life. I would also recommend you listen to 'Je t'aime!'
