I bottled it when I bought my first Brompton recently. I probably had every variant in my basket before I chose matte black. My safe choice does niggle, but I didn't want it to scream 'expensive bike' as I explored around the Hampshire countryside . Colouring with accessories is probably my way to go next. Anything orange - grips, mudguards etc. Just found your channel. Helpful with plenty of smiles...

Very sad to see house red go - haven't they been red since almost day one? I was just eyeing up the house red the other day, since the switch to all black components I think it looks great! New colours haven't blown me away but I'm confident they'll grow on me.
Thanks for the video. I for one was never a fan of the silver Brompton chose, so I like these colors a lot. The blue is great. And I am happy my orange laquer could still be mistaken for a new one :)
During Covid19 I, for the sawed Vacation Money by that, visited a Copenhagen, Brompton Dealer, in an ordinary bike shop. The one I ended up to select was a Top 2019 Flame Lacquer, SuperlightM6LXBrompton with a 600 mm, Scandinavian Standard, seat post. I did wonder then why the "H type" stem post with an M handlebar? I have since made it lighter with near all the Black Titanium parts to find, for now below 9 kilo, and I expect to be able to reach at least 8,5 kilo with a new, black H stem post, from titanium, and still with my somewhat modified and made lighter, mudguards, naturally as a "Rainy Dane"! The clamps on those are from really "Heavy Metal", and may easily be modified to new Carbon and Aluminum parts, as well as the last of my titanium brake parts! It is still a "Black Version" all over, not to advertise "Expensive Parts", even though a Brompton is a "really expensive bike" from the start 😄! Finn. Denmark
You could always take off the derailleur gears and then use it as a wide ratio three speed. You would need to change to a single sprocket. We did make a video on this a while ago. Thanks for watching!
Not a fan of the blue but like the lime and dune. How do you go about colour mixing, I don't see an option on the Brompton website unless its hiding 😀😀😀 Is it something that I would have to go to a dealer for?
Yuzu is hot and that’s a nice poor man’s Barbour with the dune sand. Now only if Brompton did quality paint. There’s a guy with a 3 month only Chpt3 v4 that already has a bunch of rust that Brompton says is normal. It’s becoming a scandal that they just dismiss Singapore humidity to attributing to poor paint job. I would recommend people don’t visit Singapore so they don’t void their warranty on the paint 😂
@@SingaporeUntold very true - in fact we probably have more film we don’t use than we do We estimate overall it takes 1 hour (setting up / filming / editing / checking) for each minute we can actually show / use
