I find it kinda funny how people are so bummed by Jey losing the title so quick. We ALL knew he was going to be involved in the Bloodline story, so it was completely obvious he was going to lose it quickly in order to elevate that story.
I didn't have an issue with him losing, I did have an issue on how it happened. It was very weird and wonky. You had The Bloodline out there like they were going to help, Jacob squared off with Bron, and they have their little moment. Then Jacob basically annihilates Jey, and Bron picking the bones was lame. I mean, we've seen the OG Bloodline and Jimmy in particular cost Jey championship matches many times in different ways, why not go one of those routes and make it crystal clear they wanted to cost him the belt on purpose.
Always saw the writing on the wall.. have jey get the feel good w/not blowing the big one again while having bron get more pissed and just claim it again…odd bookend but oh well
I love how everyone complained for the longest time about WWE title reigns being too long and now when we are getting more frequent title changes everyone hates it😂can’t ever please wrestling fans
Hot Take: I'm not a huge fan of Jey getting dragged into the bloodline story again. He finally won a title and was doing very well for himself alone. It just feels character wise he's evolved past being in the story. I think jey shouldn't rejoin the bloodline(roman and jimmy) but rather just have a temporary alliance with them.
That’s exactly what they’re gonna do, it’s not gonna be some huge thing where they all get back together and just team like the good old days. They’re gonna team together for survivor series and that’s probably it, I think you should be real patient with Jey bc I truly think he’s gonna win the rumble and get his pay off later down the line, you just need to be patient
@@cerebralassassin2185 I can definitely see Cena as this would give him 3 and would be a great way to get him to 17, but at the same time I truly believe Cena would have 17 by now if he wanted to break the record. He’s publicly said he doesn’t want the record and I just don’t see him winning the rumble to lose to Gunther. Orton I don’t really see, I can see him fighting Cody at WM but that’s a story that 100% doesn’t need a rumble involved to tell. Ik Jey is a hot take but just wait and see how it all plays out
@@jamesschenck3786cena doesn’t need a rumble win or a mitb win he can literally just challenge for either title. But cena himself did say he doesn’t wanna just politic his way to a title shot & would rather win an elimination chamber or a number 1 contenders tournament or some sort for a title shot
I was more sad than I expected to be that Jey lost already. I also really wanted him to walk into SS with the title. We didn't get to explore the "I'm better off without you" part of the story enough. Oh well, I love how he looked with it at least.
All of these folks who are losing it over that Carlito line, what do you guys want, a heel to say lines in a respectful way to not offend anyone? It's ignorant line from an ignorant heel that's the character Same folks drool over the rock speaking fake chinese back in the day, and the same guys who can't wait for Raw to go to Netflix so that it can become more edgy, yea right, this will be the same thing even on Netflix. Nowadays all the heel characters have to be respectful😂
That’s y the internet has completely ruined wrestling & other sports entertainment for me. People cry they want attitude era back when they make the littlest things a big issue. People are really threatening litos life because of a joke that meant no harm. People in the 90s & early 2000s are rolling over in their graves at these new fans & how soft they are. These are the same people that want mjf in wwe but it’s a reason y he hasn’t came (yet)…. These new fans kill me & don’t deserve a non pg product
it wasnt funny though, nor did it add anything to any story, if you gonna be ignorant or have like a racist joke at least let it be funny. Like Triple H booker T racist storyline, if only that ended with Booker T winning, then the story had a good meaning at the end, with racism not prevailing
That face off between bron breaker and Jacob fatu gave me goosebumps. I dont care how long we have to wait for it. That is a rivalry that needs to happen sometime in the future.
I’m worried that Jey is gonna look like such a wimp crawling back to Roman without a title to just become his sidekick again, but we’ll see how it all plays out.
I hope and think they're building more of Jeys gonna help cause he has issues with the bloodline more than he forgives Roman so when it's done he can move on
I feel like it would be a lot better if Jey went in as champ because not only could Jey tell Roman & Jimmy that he won it without them but because now he is truly "Main Event" as Roman needs to really acknowledge Jey and tell Sami he is no longer "Honorary"
Not gonna happen this early. They are the future of wwe & probably won’t have a match until like 2026. Both are on different paths right now & I don’t expect fatu to have a singles feud until after he leave bloodline
I agree with you Santi 100% Roman and Jimmy should have thwarted the Fake Bloodline’s interference. Jey losing was lazy booking. Jey keeping IC Title and being traded for LA Knight would have opened up so much fresh storylines on Raw and SD.
I've finally come this very painful realization Mr. Santi. We are all just side characters to the bloodline. You, me , Sancho, Cody, Kevin Owens. We're all just side characters man!! Tonga Loa was right, "If you ain't the bloodline, you ain't anybody!" 😢
I agree that the Rhea Liv feud needs to end and Rhea needs to move on to different things to earn a shot at Livs title. While Liv moves on to people who actually deserve a shot at her title.
Raw was really good, I enjoyed the Seth and Reed confrontations every time they showed him. The ending was messed up though. Bron winning was fine, just the way he won it wasn't it
@@kevinuchiha6830Also Jey attacking the new bloodline for no reasonnwas questionable especially when they tried to help. That match was weirdly booked lol.
I could see the Fatu Breakker stare down leading to them starting the rumble against one another. Give us that moment and also let these dominant guys wear eachother out so they don’t stomp out the entire rosters.
While I think that Iyo and Kairi form a good team together (and probably the best female tag team ever), I wouldn't mind if they break up and start a feud. I just want my dream match man, imagine Kairi vs Iyo in a PLE... PLEASE
Bron winning was absolutely the right decision, but im tired of rhea vs liv, what was the point of bringing back raquel if rhea can beat her up as easy as Liv or Dom?
Story should’ve ended after summer slam. Once rhea came back the story was going south of her chasing liv down week after week & the summer slam match was perfect & ended perfectly. The fact it lasted till bad blood & is still going is making me not like both parties. Liv looks weak even though she has the so called muscle in Raquel & dom gets dragged & can’t even push rhea & rhea is looking like super man every week which has debunked this story entirely
Jay didn't NEED to lose the title. I agree with that. That said, they're going to have to take him off of RAW for a few weeks, which is why they took the title. WWE has too many titles not being on week to week. They just got the intercontinental back, they're not going to keep it over on Smackdown. He'll get it back.
love it when santi spoils what happened on raw. big fan of that. suuuper love it every time it happens. major fan of santi always spoiling twists only a day after it happens
Why would Roman help Jey though? He is still egotistical and believes that him saying "I'm proud of you" was everything he could do, he still hasnt accepted that he was in the wrong or that he needs Jey
I hate that Jey Uso won the IC Title just to lose it this soon. All for Bloodline War Games. He could very well just have kept it going into Wargames. To be honest, I hate that this happened all because they won't end this long damn story until it climaxes with the Rock and Roman. Even then, I don't know if that's where it truly ends.
Yes I understand that they need jey to lose the Ic title but that made solo look kinda stupid in a way Why cost jey the title and give him motive to join Roman and big Jim while solos bloodline has the numbers I don't understand why they cost him the title without too much motive jey uso didn't attack any of them or cost them anything so I think solo is getting involved with jey too early
@@cerebralassassin2185your forgetting Bron was on the roster for 6 months, it makes sense that he lost it so quickly but Jey has been here for 14 years he would know how to beat bron
@@UR.Gibbs-Whiteit really didn't make sense. He was built up to be a dominant monster. He should've had it longer. Only having it for a month doesn't make sense.
I think people are overreacting a bit on jey's loss.. it's not the end of his career and this bloodline reunion is probably a one time thing. After that, he can win singles title again and maybe become world champion next year.
I’m calling it rn Dominik is the next IC Champ Bron is turning baby face to compensate for Jey and will have a banger fued with Dominik after Liv loses her title! Dominik vs Breaker at Wrestlemania 41 gives me Guerrero vs Brock vibes!
Fans need to be happy that he at least won a singles titles. A lot fans wish their favorite could do that plus the plan was always for Bron to be champ. They just had Jey win so she can have his moment. Him holding it for a short time doesn’t make Jey look weak Especially considering how he lost. Also can’t say he lost it too soon but didn’t a problem with Bron Losing it.Typically the same fans who complain about long reign only say that when it’s someone they want to lose but when they favorite get the title all is sudden they want a long Reign
@@cerebralassassin2185jey doesn’t need it tho, he’s a main event level player and has been for well over a year now. Bron is still a young cat trying to find his place within the company, so a mid card title is perfect for him. Jey doesn’t need some months+ long reign with a title that he’s above, he needs to win the royal rumble and face Gunther at WM. Give it time and that might happen
@@cerebralassassin2185 respectfully wether you like his character or fighting style, that doesn’t change the fact he’s incredibly over and has been for a while now. There’s some nights he’s getting the biggest pops the night, to me that’s not mid card level. The fans are the ones who truly decide what gets over or not, and they all love jey uso whether you do too or not. He’s gonna get his moment, just a matter of when
I think the main reason why jey lost is because the IC title being on smackdown and not being featured on raw would make the mid card flounder similar to how the tag division suffered so much from the judgment day not being there
Icl, i wouldve loved to see jey uso keep the IC title during this bloodline storyline, it would add more importance with an extra title, and you could set up a classic with Jey vs Fatu. It also helps Jey Uso stand out a bit more as well rather than him turning into a side character again.
Me and real life called it bron breakker got his IC tittle back because the bloodline interference and now set up bloodline war games at survivor series
I totally agree with Jey having the intercontinental championship at survivor series if the OG bloodline would have came out and helped that have been more reason to join them and make sense with the story both the bloodlines are recruiting Jey to join them because of his success
Faces don't need a long dominant title reign, what's more important for a face is to win the big match(es) and have their moment. Steve Austin as a face never held the WWF title more than 3 months.
day 113 of asking santi for a video where former nxt or main roster wwe superstars/factions would be in there wwe careers if they never left or never got released.
This guy complains about jimmy and roman not helping jey when N1. he basically told them to back off and 2 how were they supposed to know the bloodline were gonna show up there. They arent raw superstars so its not like theyre just gonna be there for no reason
I realized why the Saudi championship is so damn big.. because its a two people title! It was meant to be around two waists at the same time. Cracked the code.
My issue with pfc is that all they did was wrestle and lose matches. We never really got promos from them as to why they’re together or what their motive is. And if you’re losing every match, then obviously no one is gonna take you seriously
Crown Jewel should become the "king in the ring" of Tag teams. They just need a stipulation, a prize (No Belts or Crowns, since is tag teams a ring maybe?) and a reward (tag title shot in a PLE of choice within a year). This way you give Crown Jewel a real purpose while leaving the main event to a single championship(wwe or world heavyweight) bringing the story forward. This year it could have been: 1)Gunther vs Priest? 2)Men tag team stipulation 3)Bronson-Rollins 4)Women tag team stipulation 5)Rhodes - K.O
Yeah it's pretty annoying. Thought Jey was going to have a decent singles IC title run only for him to be forced back into the Bloodline story even when it's associated with a different show. That leads into my own hot take with the Bloodline angle is far less exciting than pretty much everything else.
It feels like it is overstaying its welcome. It just doesn't have that wow factor anymore. It's always been highly overrated by fans(except for the sami uso arc).
Jey to me losing was the right call, it sucks but I like the possible idea of Jey joining Roman and Jimmy just to get his hand on Solo and The Bloodline without properly accepting their apology and maybe getting a version of Crash Out Jey Uso
I don’t think it was necessary for Jey to lose his IC title for the Bloodline storyline but it’s done. As for the women division, they need to build new opponents when the Liv and Rhea feud ends. Heck, we can even have Rhea over Smackdown so she can have new opponents there and send Bailey on Raw so she can rebuild herself up. The Xavier Wood slow heel turn is cooking and we will feast when it’s ready.
People should look at mid card reigns during the ruthless aggression era, guys like Jeff hardy and mysterio had month long title reigns. Just like jey. He’ll be bigger than ever after this bloodline story
Hot take: I think it’s a good thing that Jey lost, it can set up a rematch with bron for the championship in a few weeks where the bloodline can intervene again but roman and jimmy come out to his rescue allowing him to win the match clean.
Jey winning the IC gave him the win on his CV and let Bron become a two time champion. Reigns and Jimmy staying away is because Jey told them to. He'll interfere or get attacked on Smackdown and Jimmy and Reigns will make the save. He could have held the title into it but he didn't have to so they used it to furher elevate Bron. Bronson is having a fantastic year and a three match programme with Seth could be epic. He certainly needs a World title shot in the next year, I'd also like to see him face Cena as part of his retirement tour.
I almost wish that jey kept the championship and got insensitive to join bloodline story via disqualification. It would of allowed him to have a chip on his shoulder and maybe bron could take out anger on both sides of the blodline story as an extra bit of depth for a bit which would have been quite fun
Some of the people here are so stupid we know jey is going to get involved in bloodline story from now to pretty much Mania, so jey would've pretty much held IC title as hostage not defending it enough because of his involvement with bloodline, instead bron can build something with this title jey don't need this title more than bron, jey is already super over and his involvement in bloodline story along with Roman jimmy and sami is going to only increase that. They gave him his first singles title and also a pretty good and heated reason to be involved with bloodline, what's people's obsession with number of days logan paul held the belt for 280 something days and only defended the belt two times.
Until mania telling what stories exactly when the new bloodline can't cut promos, people are really forgetting bloodline storyline worked because of mic work not fighting
This bloodline vs bloodline feud is bigger than a title reign right now ….. he will be a world champion one day without a doubt but there’s a bigger story at hand right now
Did Santi forgot the fact that Solo's Bloodline came with the intent to help Jey retain? Besides, storyline wise, Roman at this point is convinced that Jey wants to be left alone. So it makes perfect sense that they wont be there to help.
@@Clipperfan_Tra she’s way too strong. There was no point of Raquel being the body guard for Liv is Rhea can beat them and still attack Dominik. Even Roman gets beat up eventually
If Roman and Jimmy were to help jey retain it would have just proven bron right in that jey needs his family to succeed. Which would probably just piss him off more
y'all crack me up with this whole "jimmy and roman should have saved jey" thing, roman ain't working both shows in the middle of October. that's the whole thing with him and why him being the "face of the company" isn't going to work anymore, especially with this being a publicly traded company owned by TKO now. they want their main guy there every week selling tickets and doing all the promo stuff. it's like everyone forgot why people started getting sick of roman's title reign in 2023 (i.e. the part timing). you got your superstar back for a few months, just enjoy it while you can but don't expect too much.
All the fault lays with Jey. New Bloodline were not there to cost him the championship. That changed when he attacked Tama and Tonga when they were urging him up.
To be fair, Roman and Jimmy are on Smackdown. They aren't just gonna be on Raw just because the new bloodline happened to show up. How were they supposed to know that would happen? Lol
This idea going around that the loss buried jey is idiotic he's a PROVEN commodity hes being used for the bloodline thing then back to being on the title scene, hes too much of a money maker. Its just helping build bron as he goes n deals with family shit
They need to lose the Main event moniker though,, main eventer losing mid card belt in 3 weeks how is he supposed to keep WHC for a week if they plan on giving him one
I wish Jey could have had at least one PLE match as the championship. You're telling me Bron vs Jey with all the Bloodline shenanigans couldn't have happened at Crown Jewel?
IYO is perfect. She is the best in the ring, had the best looks (its subjective of course) Her facial expressttion and charisma is incredible and now she even speak English in some way. Yeah, it is bad and even hard to understand, but comparing to other Japanese who now perform in US, she is better.
Have Bron hold the title and go unbeaten (non title too) until wm41. Have Cena win the IC belt, the only title Cena hasn't won, then have Bron win MITB or KOTR and move him into the main event scene.
I get why they took the title off of Jey I do, but it still doesn't feel right, 14 years in the business and finally getting Single's Gold in the IC Title, only to lose it after a couple of weeks. Roman said he was proud of Jey when him and Jimmy tried talking to him, and if it was genuine coming from Roman, I think they could have handled this with Jey holding the title for a while longer instead of giving back to Bron. I like Bron he's got what it takes to be one of the best of the next generation in WWE/Wrestling as a whole. He doesn't need it to show he's capable, the idea of him going after Gunther was way more interesting.
Love you Santi but you really can’t compare this year’s Bronson Reed to last year’s shinsuke Nakamura. Shinsuke has a change in character LITERALLY just to give Seth Rollins an opponent. Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins feud is literally being made so that Bronson Reed gets recognition. So you can’t really be afraid for Reed to be treated like Nakamura.
JEY LITERALLY TOLD ROMAN AND JIMMY TO NOT BE IN HIS BUSINESS. SO THEY DID JUST THAT. Jey was also ignorant against Solo in that encounter. Jey screwed Jey.
Even if Jey kept the belt into war games, he will still need stories to have on Raw for that same belt. It would’ve been too much and Bron breaker would’ve looked weak if he lost to Jey again
Jey Uso needs to be talked about as the Royal rumble favorite. I think WWE will give him the pay off he’s well earned over the past year after the bloodline story finishes, the IC title was just a little prize for sticking through this long drawn out push for him. Jey Uso vs Gunther at WM is a money match and that’s where Jey gets his payoff, book it
Wasn't Solo trying to help Jay? I felt Temu Bloodline was trying to recruit him by supporting his championship match even tho it ended up costing him the title. In that sense I feel Roman and Jimmy not coming out to help was trying to push the idea of them letting Jay be "just him".
