Login? On an app designed for off-road? I feel like whoever designs, builds, tests, and approves - all of them - have never used their own creation. Most of this stuff is really obvious! Great commentary, hire this guy!

I think you and I share the same background. I was surprised that I had to login to use the app and no way to move on in an offline mode if cell coverage is not available. It appears that the developers from @ford are using the community as beta testers without users knowing and understanding that is happening. I think users are under the impression that the application is good to go when they download it from the App Store.

@Overlanding4Fun a few years ago (maybe 10-15?) You would have just bought any product knowing you would get what you paid for. Today, I expect to pay a lot of money and be disappointed. It's a shame that manufacturers have gone this way.

So far so good. Have not taken mine out for a spin, I did have a little connection issue the first I tried to connect in the Bronco, I am hoping to go out this weekend and try it out.

Is the app recording sound too when you record the trail? POV if they’re shareable in the future I don’t want to have to concern with unwanted conversations and noise.

There is a setting for audio in Manage Recordings under Settings, where you can turn off audio. In the recordings I have done so far, there is not any audio in the recording.

Had did you resolve your issue with the not appropriate for your Bronco issue? I am getting the same message. Also when I try to record the app crashes and resets. Doesn’t seem to be a lot of info regarding problems when I search the internet for help. Appreciate any assistance you can provide.

My hypothesis is that it is related to cell phone internet connectivity. When I had the issue, I was sitting in a valley with poor service, this issue resolved when I went to higher ground. I have also experienced the app crashing when attempting to start recording. A reboot of my phone seemed to clear up the issue, but users should not have to reboot every time they want to use the record feature. I will be on the Driven Wild Outdoors live stream tonight at 9:00 PM EDT to discuss the trail app and the new Ranger Raptor. I tried this app and nothing was saved. Also is that screen bottom right your iPhone ? How does that happen.

One thing is clear, this app is not ready for prime time. The only cool feature is the ability to record from your phone in the app and have it overlay the telemetry of the Bronco in real time.

That is definitely one way to beta test your software, but I don't think it would be the preferred way for the end users.
