I'm a Falcons fan and I'm surprised! I fully expected we'd get an edge rusher, but I think the Falcons saw this coming and didn't want to risk losing out on a top tier QB. I like the pick, it feels like we're trying to copy the Packers, though I won't pretend it isn't a big risk

@@rwaitt14153 LoL. Not like you're thinking. I mean he's a mobile pocket guy with a big arm. Wilson got shafted in NY. He's only 24/25 and he's got decent experience. By essentially going and getting the same type of guy twice, they're setting Bo up to win. Think about it this way: Now, they can run the offense they plan for Bo before he's ready to start. The same schemes, forms and audible packages. I'll use Love as an example. He became a monster halfway through the season. He had to spend 6-8 games learning the offense and so did the the other guys. Here, when Bo is ready, they'll be able to transition without a learning curve, in theory. It's a really smart move. I'm actually rather impressed by Payton here. This is how you develop a system for your QB(Brady, Mahomes, Manning, etc...) as opposed to developing a QB for your system. This is how you start to win.

BTW I'm a proud, lifetime member of Arkansas chapter of the Black Hole Gang. I hate Denver in ways you cannot comprehend. That said, this was a really good pick. Getting Wilson was very smart. The broncos just left the basement. Saying that as an opp with heavy beef towards Denver.
