Man being from the South this 1999 and 2000 Super Bowl was huge. Always remember this one bc it was the very first time I smoked some “loud” 😂. Havin that stuff back in “99” made you feel like a king just having it lol. But the Falcons lucked up to get here and it showed 😕.

Had the Vikings not blown that big lead in the NFC championship this would have been a great super bowl.....

The Falcons had all those redzone opportunities and they came away empty a lot of the times with turnovers and that missed easy field goal. This is what made Denver a different team compared to those 3 Elway Super Bowl losses. A defense that didn't fall apart and give up 40 plus points. John Elway got his coronation and riding off into the sunset moment. Years later, Peyton Manning playing for the Broncos got his riding off in the sunset moment. Very few players can say that.

Imagine Deion Sanders in with these Falcons. That would've made it a way better game.

Those were fun times. I hope they come back again with another Super Bowl run. I try not to complain. We did win Super Bowl 50. LOL!

With all due respect, the Vikings should've been in Super Bowl XXXIII. I say this in the regard that the Vikings would've made this a more fun and exciting game to watch.

The red wings bulls broncos and yankees all won back to back between 1998 and 1999...talk about a weak sports league era....yankees won 3 in 4 years from 96 to 99 and bulls won 3 in a row

Yeah, Broncos won, but did so in a time frame in which the NFL was weak, and former great dynasties were crumbling (i.e. 49ers, Cowboys, Redskins, maybe Bills). You see that GreenBay was not all they were cracked up to be as evidenced by their loss the year before (partially due to an apathetic Bill Parcells who lost to them in SB31). Took GB over ten years to get back there. Don't hate the Broncos or Elway, but if he was so great then why was the score so lopsided in his three SB losses? Cant count that as a dynasty- not just because of only two SB wins, but because of having no long term impact or influence in that era. As to where the Super teams/dynasties of the 70's, 80's, and 90's could be considered gourmet meals. The Broncos of that era were like a meal at an IHOP or Dennys- serviceable, but noticeably lacking.

I think this is the only superbowl in my 40+ of watching the nfl in which I truly believed the underdogs ( Atlanta ) how no chance!! They got here strictly on error ( anderson) Minnesota was the team that was supposed to be here and what a great match up that would have been

Great coaching by Reaves to go for it on 4th and 1 from the Broncos 25. That just made the interception pointless and gave the Broncos momentum. You kick the FG there and cut the lead to one point at the start of the second quarter

I worked a dinner shift as a cook in a five star restaurant during this game. When business was slow I was watching the tv at the bar from the kitchen. Felt good to watch my life long team win back to back.

Atlanta made a lot of noise in the first half to only come away with 6 points. Terrible coaching and play calling. Four times in the red zone and just 6 points
