@@KickdoeshitOn the contrary he needs to ask his father for help, he struggles to make simple reads out of pick and roll situations, if anything he needs every help he can get from any competent playmaker with experience.
@@_WeDontKnow_ its not really bronny fault, its lebron for getting him all that exposure hyping him up like he was a diamond in the rough and didnt even teach him literally any fundamentals . if bronny was jr smith son no one wouldve batted a dam eye but im getting bombarded with espn coverage of the 55th pick.
@@Yolknut he's played in several Summer League games already and was horrible in every single one of them. His college career was also far from impressive. He's only in the NBA because of blatant nepotism.
killed me watching Mac Mclung showing more passion, hustle, desire & drive in garbage time for the Lakers than *anyone* else in that organisation, just to be let go. seems "effort" isn't on their shopping list.
The thing is I don't think he wants to be an nba player...not that he doesn't want to I just think that he doesn't feel truly fulfilled in the position he is in now
Ya his shooting isn’t even the biggest problem. He flat out has trouble making simple reads and understanding basketball concepts such as spacing and understanding defensive concepts
@@theemotionalremix It's been a while since I've played a 2k game, but I remember 75 being capable role players on playoff teams. Honestly Bronny James doesnt look like his ceiling would even crack 70.
He was like the 100th best player in divison 1 basketball this year and college comp isn't that good to start with. Reed was top 10. Was an enormous mismatch that went exactly like you'd expect.
@@Brickwilliams You have to either be an insane athlete or absurdly skilled not to be a negative on the court when literally 50% of the league has half a foot on you. Reed can do it because he shot 54/52/83 with the block rate of Ja Morant and steal rate of Curry, and people were still questioning whether he should even be a lottery pick. WTF can Bronny do when a guy like Wemby is on the court? If the answer is nothing, how can he contribute to an NBA team?
@@The3Watcher especially when you make a mistake and casually jog back . The guy never runs his lane on offence either. Always goes to the three point line waiting to launch on fast break with numbers.
The lack of effort suggest he probably hates basketball and is only playing because that's been his dads dream since he was in the womb. The guy doesn't even make the effort to look like he cares
At this point I feel bad bc most of this isn’t his fault. Lebron rushed him into the league despite bronny being mid in high school and college it’s sad
@@redskinsftwbruh i blame lebron for rushing him to play with him but if you been playing basketball your whole life and 15 years in you still have no iq, no trainer is going to change that
@@chasesigler9885 hes been trained his whole f***ing life and he still plays like sh** he only got there because of his dad, make it make sense how he had all the tools and money at his disposal and still cant do what he's supposed too 🤣🤣
I mean 4 years 7-8 million is nothing to an nba team, they don’t give af since they know he’ll be riding the bench and out of the league once his daddy is finished
@@Gremiyunswhat do you mean nothing? Statistically he is the worst player drafted out of college ever. The only other 2 players in history to get drafted with less than 5pt 3ast 3rb got a $55000 contract and a two way. Bronny has worse stats than both of them and hes got a insane contract, the g league would tear him tf up
Worse man.. he appears to have no awareness of his surroundings ... No idea where he should be or HOW to do things.. Fully committing only to the WRONG move every time. It's like he's trying to do highlight all the "what NOT to do's" of basketball.
bronny was 8th in scoring at usc. 11th in fg%. only one of those players ahead of him got drafted. the rest of them have to be feeling sick. because they have known exactly how bad bronny is for a long time.
I remember in college Bronny was bringing the ball up the Court three times and he got stripped. So the coach took him out and he walked straight into the locker room.😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@mushrifahmed8107 He has the contract, but not necessarily the minutes he might want. That's what he has to play for - getting more than 2 minutes of garbage time.
Bronnie plays like he's been doing private workouts with Dad's trainer exculsively and never head down to the local pick up game hotspot to just learn how to play the team sport. Zero feel for the game. Jumper looks great in drills but awful against CBB and NBA summer talent. It will look even worse in GLeague and NBA.
Nobody expects him to shine in the summer league, but you would think with his father's basketball IQ and growing up watching him, these no-brainer passes would be natural to him. Quite disappointing, to be honest.
to be fair, late 2nd rounders pan out only 2% of the time. and their first round pick may already be starter caliber. its just easy to make fun of the nepotism
Lakers deserve more blame. Could have called LeBron's bluff and not renewed his contract and not drafted Bronny. Build the team around AD and hope he stays healthy.
@@RenaldyCalixteLakers did the right thing to want to retire LeBron on their team. Hes one of the best. I mean simply from the economics aspect its the best idea. AD is not a superstar to build around from. They will get another generational talent in the next years.
@@marpap9525 The economics of turning the Lakers into a clown show like Keeping up with the Kardashians is great but...I thought the Lakers were about championships not ratings.
Bronny is completely lost out there, anyone with basketball knowledge can see it. And no this is not because he's young, he has no basketball instincts compared to other 19 year olds that were just drafted.
Bronny James can't score, he can't dribble, he's not even a playmaker. His IQ is way off and he only passes the ball when he runs out of ideas. This type of player is 1000% not ready for the NBA.
@mvpfocus Beat me to it. Guys I used to play pick-up ball with executed much better than this. Everyone, at the very least, knew where to be on fast breaks, pick and roll defense, and when to cut to the basket.
He wasn’t ready for usc either. I heard people on espn saying they need to see how he does against real nba competition. Really? Why? He can’t ball at usc. Can’t compete at summer league but suddenly if he’s out there against the very best he will be able to play with them?
This is basic stuff. This kid has been playing basketball his entire life. His father has to question this. Basic, fundamental basketball is the least you would expect out of a professional. He should have bought his son an outfielder's glove when he was 6.
As a lakers fan, this is extremely upsetting. It’s not even that bro is absolute garbage and I could do better than him but it’s more because he doesn’t AT LEAST show effort. Like bro if he showed that he’s hustling it’s way less embarrassing. Bro got gifted a job and doesn’t deserve it. What a joke of a team
I dont wanna be "that guy" fact checking but only because Im 34 going 35 and play old NBA Live and 2k series Bron was the highest rated rookie (duh) both games but was a 79. Second year a 88 (which even then was wild). Since then he's been a 90+. This season is gonna be 20 years lf him being a 90+ in videogames. That's one record that will truly never be broken.
This is what happens when someone who didnt start on a losing team, avg 4 ppg, and simply not in anyway ready for the league listens to his "goat father" who thinks his son is him
I’ll give you guys Bronny James Career in 5 years Y1 Bench Y2 Bench Y3 Out of the League IM TIRED OF THESE NEPOTISM PICKS AND HIRES IN THE NBA ADAM SILVER DO SOMETHING
Im glad you dont like nepotism. Surely you're as outspoken on the issue with Rick Brunson being assistant coach on the knicks, WHILE having a history of sexual harrassment when he worked in Minnesota. But nah, im sure a concerned citizen such as yourself is already on it.
Oh no...if you think its bad now just wait, they will absolutely start this guy with LeBron guaranteed, he won't be riding the bench. This won't follow the normal "you have to earn it" model people are used to. If this is blowing minds right now....strap in, this is going to become SO much more of a shit show than it already is. 😢
Give me one example of a player getting drafted and getting a roster spot because of nepotism besides thansis. I’ll wait. This narrative needs to die. At the player level we’ve never seen nepotism like this. Ever.

Lebron And the media have been pretending bronny was good for years. Yesterday some guy at espn said “you can’t tell anything from summer league. We will need to see him against real nba players”
I felt bad for him too, but, he clearly doesn't bother giving any effort in the game. It would be one thing if he at least tried, but he doesn't gaf lol. He also isn't really humble either. Bro really said he would be an 80 or 81 in 2k, xD.
@@Flashyfinancier it's at the very least too early. He wasn't even really effective at usc. Maybe with a few more years he may have found a niche, but so far...not working out for him. Rushed....
This is what Paul George said about Bronny “What’s more impressive is just his basketball savviness. His basketball IQ. He can do it all. I feel like he hasn’t shown that he can really be elite at a lot of things. But I think he can be elite at a lot of things. But I compare him to the Jrue Holidays, the Derrick Whites, guys that are glue guys that go do everything on the floor and help you win.” Paul George comparing Bronny James to Jrue Holiday and Derrick White What was he smoking and he should be selling that, because that’s one hell of a drug.
His dad is forcing him. He can’t enjoy being a kid cause of his dad. I guarantee when he score his first actually points there going to stop the game amd give him the game ball watch.
Nothing about bronny says this is what I wanted to do in life. Man made nba and was the most unhappiest drafted player I’ve ever witnessed now look at his summer league no adjustments, no improvement and u know his dad has had em in the film room so he also has no intelligence to even wanna improve These are actions of I’m just going thru the motions cause my dad said so shii
The worst is drafting him to the Lakers where he will be pampered and shielded. However there is no hiding from Laker fans. This is all LeBrons making.
For some reason Bronny has 0 desire to get to the basket. Basketball IQ aside, defensive & offensive mistakes aside, not showing any sort of effort defensively or any sort of aggression towards the basket offensively is the biggest red flag. It doesn't even look like he's trying. You can't coach a lack of desire.
@@UneducatedGeologist the amount of times he had these 3 good options: - cut to the basket for an easy layup - take the wide open 3 as quickly as possible - pass to the wide open teammate when help defense comes but instead was either mis-positioned or waited for the defense to come to him, is wild to me. It looks like he's overthinking every possession.
@@botbot3698You said it, he really is overthinking and getting in his own head. He needs to work on his instincts, reaction time and mentality, and that’ll make him a little better.
Pippen was definitely way underpaid. And Bronny James doesn't deserve one dollar of that guaranteed contract. However, 30 years of inflation makes comparing the two rather pointless.
The NBA is a scripted soap opera at this point. I wouldn’t even be shocked if they “magically” knock the Nuggets or Wolves out the playoffs and win it all. Adam Silver can’t let LeBron retire on bad terms
Part of me is like "ok, you're going at the guy a little too much, chill.", but another part of me knows that living in North Korea is a less than ideal situation
You know what, he was in a perfect situation. Full ride scholarship for a pretty significant program! All he had to do was take his education seriously and learn basic business and economic principles. He gets to play meaningful basketball and graduate with all the skills to manage his dad’s billion dollar + fortune. If at that point the G-League or Europe or even God forbid the NBA wants him to play, he can go do that for a few years. And then he goes into whatever career he wants debt-free with a good resume and life skills. Even if his dad weren’t a billionaire, he becomes a millionaire in his own right in a decade or two, and most importantly have his own life in his own hands and be respected for his accomplishments. Instead, he becomes a joke. Sad, really.
I remember when Adam Morrison was making a comeback. He averaged 35 a game in summer league and was mvp and no one signed him. Same thing going on with mcclung. Mvp and scoring leader of the g league and no contact.
So I guess nobody’s heard of Luke Walton, Steve Kerr, Austin Rivers, Michael Jordan playing baseball, Tim Teebo, Jerry Jones son, George W Bush, The Jackson’s, Beyoncé sister, Ray jay, The Kardashians , The Royal family, And the entire Government
Tbh.. with access to world class, NBA coaching personnel that he’s had his entire life makes it even worse. Props to Austin Rivers lol at least he truly seized the opportunity. Any young serious hooper would kill to have that.
@@porschelover84729 not necessarily. joker was picked 41st. there have been other deep picks that have good above average. that guy literally got shafted out of money and a chance because of nepotism. i dont respect corrupt power abuses like this, nor lebron crotch riding

Bronny James is a mid to below average defense player at best and his offense is horrendous gotta remember this is summer league and against g league players and new draft players
