Can’t wait for the ultra marine killteam headed by Guilliman🤣 This team does look pretty cool, kinda wild a patriarch is in it tho. I’m a bit worried about power creep
I feel like anyone with vetguard or blooded experience will be able to just pick this up and dominate. so... fun! lol Can't wait to play this team badly and still eek out a win
as a elite player, this is absolute dread, the power creep is getting out of hand real fast. I dont know if i wanna play the rest of this edition due to some of these crazy teams. It just feels stupid to play some of the old teams, Im a phobos main, and i have no idea how to win against Mandrakes, Nemesis or any of these two teams. Its just a bad feeling overall.
@@CanYouRollaCrit I turn to you for answers most of the time when it comes to these things. Should i just resort to becoming a horde player that i have resented since I started playing KT lol 😅If only they buffed Blades of Khaine so i can run them instead.
I feel its time for a new edition. All these teams are very thematic but becoming more and more complex and powerful to play. I've been burnt out on kill team a bit with all these releases and moved to Necromunda. There I only need to remember equipment and not every model has its own unique rules. Makes it much easier to play for someone who plays maybe once or twice a month. Still, the Patriarch is calling me...
Gw really were like "well, vet guard have had an above average win rate since day 1 of the first season, so to fix that we will make a ridiculously more powerful version of them". I'm a very sad elite player.
What's with making a crippled Squats team and pairing it against some hideously broken monstrosity at the end of the Arc? Gallowfall put them against Felgore. Now they get this Genestealer Cults fever-dream.
I was looking forward to this kill team coming out, I really have enjoyed the Wrymblade. After your review I'm even more excited to get my hands on them.
@@CanYouRollaCrit I'm a good few models off getting the full range for each team, but at least the sniper isn't a must since it's hard to track down a decent part
7:51 That Pervasive ploy has the same wording as Phobos' Vanguard, so it's not as good as Bound. Still better than other GEQ teams can generally do, though.
22:50 could also mean they might be changing tac ops as well since plant transponder can't be done within engagement range as im sure theres some other faction tac op that has that preventative clause as well
Hey CYRAC, do you have any info about why elites struggle right now? You talk about it a lot but I'm not entirely sure why, so I'd like to try and understand.
I'm not CYRAC, but I know at least one reason - as an objective oriented game, it's extremely difficult to win VP as well as deny the enemy VP with only a small handful of guys. Loot has 6 objectives, Intercessors have like 6 guys total. You've gotta play nearly perfect on an unbalanced board to not lose an operative every turning point, and then by halfway through the game you'll be struggling to get 3 points from primary objectives, if not less, while struggling to flank and deny objectives to the enemy. You just don't have the numbers. I'm sure there's other issues, but this is the biggest one I've noticed.
@@CanYouRollaCrit thanks. Guess I can split a box between them and a cadian kill team in the future. Thanks for your reply and awesome content as always. As a recent killteam convert I've watched so much!
I am a bit confused as I am just getting into kill team with this Box set. What extra box do I need to buy in order to make it a full list. Is it another box of dudes or just an upgraded sprue?
Thx.So much but i really don't uderstand. 20:55 'or Visible to this operative if you subtract one additional action point' what's meaning of subtract one additional APL? E.g 1 vox activated, normal move or dash (-1 AP), got line of sight of enemy, Jam (-1AP) E.g 2 vox activated, fire. lasgun (-1AP), target incapacitated, target removed, got line of sight of 2nd target, Jam (-1AP) I really tried to find out what that means, and thought so much. but can't even get a clue.. TT
Hey, I don't really understand why I need a second box of these? Do the 10 Cadians not come in the box? From what I understand this should be the leader, one of each specialists and then the patriarch. Can you please specify what is missing in the box? I have Vet Guard - can figures from those just be used here xD?
I'm honestly so mad they gave us this team instead of a "proper" Tyranid team. Especially since Genestealer Cult has a White Dwarf team that does fine? Can they please give 'nid players something?? I'm glad you're satisfied (somewhat) with them. But the fact that the Patriarch isn't something that you'd always take also detracts a lot of the fun for the people who just wanna be a buncha monsters.
re: Explosives - It should be possible to place the explosive in the Sappers own activation by performing Explosives (1AP), then blow it up later that same turningpoint (if it gets show by the enemy) by using Final Defiance to trigger Explosives (1AP) for free. Of course, if the Sapper is killed in melee that is a different story.
@@CanYouRollaCrit You can't do the same action more than once per activation, not once per TP. Is there something out of the ordinary limiting the use of Explosives (1AP)?
@@CanYouRollaCrit I'm sorry, that is not part of the text you read aloud in the video. The entire card is not visible so it's possible it says something to that effect.
Would you say the Patriarch needs to decide how many AP he generates at the start of his activation, or should he be able to use however many he wants and stock the rest at whatever part of his activation? Ie, you charge onto a point and fight, expecting to kill a guy and do an action on the objective. But by some miracle, the guy doesn't die, you don't have control, so you can't do the action. Should you be left with 2 action points, because you only spent 2, or would you declare as he activates "I generate 3" and if you can't use them as you like, those points are lost? Interesting new mechanic, wonder if it's an indication of future edition operative mechanics
I feel like everyone complaining about balance forgets that Kill Team is generally one of the most well-balanced games GW puts out - if this team ends up being problematic, it'll get nerfed
While I agree in general, with a new edition dropping soon and GW generally not allowing nerfs until 6 months after a release, it means no changes will happen to BB/S3 teams until the new edition ):
