Yeah that's what I said. People ay that this whole sex tape thing was a way to make Peyton look innocent, but to me she already was. Brooke was wrong for the mom thing but she did nothing wrong in season 1. Lucas and Peyton may have liked each other, but Brooke liked Lucas since 1x03 and Peyton had already rejected him. She asked Peyton again and again and again if it was okay and she said yes. And Brooke really liked Lucas. He was the first guy to treat her like a person instead of a sex object. If Peyton wanted him then she should've said something. But the honesty thing was different in season 1 and season 3. In season 3, Brucas was already together and had been together for months before Peyton confessed and after having already had an affair with her boyfriend in season 1, she should have known that it wouldn't go over well. What was the point of telling? Unlike in season 1, they're already together so it's not like she could just step back and let you have her boyfriend. What was supposed to happen?
What? Peyton liked Lucas since the pilot. Lucas told Peyton her art mattered at the end of 1x02, so if you are implying that Brooke liked him first, then that's just wrong. Peyton rejected him not because she didn't like him, but because she got scared. If Brooke had to keep asking Peyton if she was okay with it, it's a good indicator that she had an idea that Peyton had feelings for Lucas. Peyton did nothing immoral in season 3. Perhaps it was inadvisable to tell Brooke, but she was being honest. Plus, it's not like Brooke and Lucas were a great couple to begin with. They were always heading for a breakup.
Peyton and Brooke owned the show and their friendship was epic. What went down with them was always rectified because they loved each other. What happened with Brooke and Nathan really did mean nothing. In season 1, they didn't talk, they didn't hang out, Pathan was broken up at the time, and they were drunk! Season 1, Peyton and Lucas kissed multiple times, spent time together, talked to each other, etc, and he was planning to be with her behind Brooke's back. In season 3, Lucas said the kiss meant nothing, but just the night before Peyton revealed she had feelings for Lucas. So obviously the kiss meant something. And then when you think about all the stuff that happened in season 3 (The going off on the trip to find Peyton's mom alone after they got together, the walking in on them in bed together, the recycled letter,) and then add in a secret kiss. It taints everything and makes it suspicious. Was it just the one kiss in the library? Was it a repeat of what happened last year? Was her best friend and boyfriend playing her like a fool again? And then look at how quickly they got back together after the break up. I'd be pissed too. The dead mom's thing was wrong and Brooke should have apologized, but what happened with Nathan really was nothing. Meaningless sex one time vs. Emotional affair that goes on for weeks with kissing? Sorry, Leyton was still worse than Brathan. Not that it matters anymore, Leyton got married and had a baby and Naley stayed married and had two children. Nathan and Brooke's sex tape actually meant nothing in the scheme of things. It was just a plot device to level the playing field so Breyton could be friends again.

A A A A Brooke really was not the kind of person as she seemed and she always made everything about her. People who defend Brooke so much make her seem like she’s all that when she ain’t acting like the world revolves around her. She knew Peyton liked Lucas even when she couldn’t opened up right away to how she felt which was her problem, as she always managed to show it at the very last minute. I never got the ‘either time you went after him.’ Peyton only really ‘went after him’, in season one. The kiss during 3x16 shouldn’t even count because Peyton was losing a lot of blood and could have died. She follows it with ‘Just in case you can’t keep your promise.’ After that all she did was told Brooke the truth about her feelings and was willing to bury them for Brooke.
Plus after Brooke fount out about it she said a kiss always means something yet she told Peyton sex with Nathan meant nothing !!!! Classic Brooke no rules apply to her

Both of them were wrong. There’s not right side. Growing is realizing that Lucas was a red flag all along. Also I feel like one of the main reasons why people tend to flock towards Brooke is because she’s unapologetic bitchy whereas Peyton is the “not like the other girls” trope. In this episode, I think that Peyton has the right to be mad about Brooke's joke but in regard to Brooke sleeping with Nathan, I am on Brookes side. Peyton literally had an affair with Brooke's boyfriend and then after Lucas and Brooke got back together she kissed him and said that she has feelings for him. Just because she was honest about it doesn't make it okay, plus Peyton never really loved Nathan but Brooke loved Lucas and Peyton knew that yet she still snuck around with him. In my opinion, sneaking around with your best friends boyfriend whom she loves is worse than having a pointless drunken one night stand with a guy that your best friend just broke up with and doesn't really love. Peyton’s anger is all about Lucas. She took so much shit and guilt for being in love with Lucas and acting on those feelings when Brooke has done worst but acted like Peyton broke their friendship in a way Brooke had never done lol also Peyton broke her own heart by ending things with Lucas after the affair and made the sacrifice for the sake of Brooke and had to carry that pain of letting him go due to thinking she betrayed Brooke. But the fact she still felt the need to keep that a secret, is terrible. Haley and Lucas were intermingling with the popular kids, amongst Brooke Nathan and Peyton... for years, Brooke kept that to herself. Yet could shame Peyton into feeling like a whore for actually following her heart, when Brooke knew that too... Atleast Peyton had the conviction to know what she was doing was wrong and broke it off with Lucas the first time, because the first time they did have a little affair, the 2nd time, a kiss. A KISS, with a delirious Peyton fading in and out of consciousness.
I don't know why but the part where Peyton is telling Brooke how awful her life had been for the past year and about how Brooke made a crappy joke about her mother's death, just made me sad. I hated when they fought. A guy should have never been able to get between them but it happened. Unfortunately it wasn't 'hoes over bros' to them.

In the episode Some You Give Away, Brooke tells Lucas to tell Peyton he loves her. This shows that Brooke still cares for Peyton. and in the episode after Brooke consoles Peyton because Lucas is in the hospital, Peyton tells her she wants to be back to best friends like before and Brooke says that like before is gone. They then agree not to be enemies. But at a party at Nathan's house when Brooke is coming to mend things once and for all with Peyton, a tape gets put in the TV of Brooke and Nathan having sex while Nathan and Peyton were still dating. Peyton is furious and punches Brooke in retaliation, giving her a black eye. The day before prom Peyton and Brooke have a physical fight after Peyton catches Brooke egging her house. Peyton tackles Brooke and the two fight on the ground. Peyton finally stands up and told her that she was always honest with Brooke, and Brooke never was with her because she had never revealed her hookup with Nathan yet still was angry at Peyton for all that happened with her and Lucas. Peyton also said how it hurt that Brooke used her mom's death as a punchline to hurt her after consoling her throughout it. Peyton ends it by saying that Brooke is dead to her, leaving Brooke shattered. It later turns out to be untrue as Peyton cares enough to be mean to Brooke by writing Whore on her prom dress in light-revealing ink. After Brooke comes to find Peyton when she doesn't show up for prom she finds that "Psycho Derek" has came back and is holding Peyton hostage in the basement. He ties Brooke up too. Derek is about to kill Brooke but Peyton convinces him to let her do it. It looks like Peyton is about to kill her but she instead stabs Derek in the shoulder. Peyton gets away then Derek tackles her in her room. Brooke ends up saving her and together they fight Derek until they eventually cause him to fall unconscious. At the end of the season Peyton gets a music internship in Los Angeles and decides to go and spend the summer with Brooke there.

Peyton: makes a mistake kissing Lucas in season 1, never went further but even so, felt guilty apologized multiple times, only kissed him a second time bc she thought she was dying, was honest about her feelings for Lucas with Brooke, never went after him even when he was no longer with Brooke, even tried helping him get back with Brooke, was there for Brooke when her parents weren’t, was patient with her when Brooke was throwing a tantrum and insulted her dead mom... But yea of course Peyton was “constantly a shitty friend” lmao ok I liked Brooke and Haley better too but the reason behind Peyton and Brooke having a toxic friendship was Brooke not Peyton. If she had liked Nathan, she would’ve ruined her friendship with Haley too. Kind of ironic cuz her motto was “ hoes over bros”
Brooke slept with Nathan...when Peyton and Nathan had broken up...both of them were drunk...none of them remembers it due to the alcohol(it's evident when the video shows up both look surprised)but that doesn't mean brooke was right.she was wrong.but that was a different brooke..mean, selfish and only wanting sex not love... that's why she went after Lucas even after knowing Peyton liked him even though she said she didn't want anything serious with lucas.but brooke got her comeuppance when Leyton had an affair behind her back.brooke loved Lucas but still he cheated and broke up with her without telling her about the cheating.even Peyton hid the cheating thing even though she ended the affair .in my opinion both were wrong .but the second time around it was Peyton"s fault .
Peyton had no right to get so angry she stole Luke from her twice while they were dating......so it's OK when she has feelings for her best friend's boyfriend and secretly has an affair with him while the two are dating but wrong if Brooke sleeps with Nathan when they had broken up..... Hated Peyton from day 1
I'm watching season 1 on Netflix, and boy, Peyton's actress is terrible. I was so shocked because I remember seeing this scene and crying my eyes out because she was so believable here, so I had to find it, and I'm glad to see I was right. She was amazing in that scene. I guess she improved a lot over the years.
Hated that they added in the sex tape to try and even the playing score between Brooke and Peyton and make Peyton’s betrayals seem less than they were. Brooke despite her insecurities and party ways had always been a loyal friend. Very out of character.

(Remember the episode she dared Peyton to show Lucas how she really she feels and Peyton kissed Lucas?) Brooke knew. She knew her best friend liked this guy even though Peyton didn't want to open up her heart. She knew and she still went after Lucas. And Peyton does a similar thing, y'all say she's the wrong one? Lol Peyton didn't even sleep with Lucas. Brooke screwed peyton's boyfriend back in the days, yet treated her so badly when she found out about her and Lucas. Brooke was always the wrong one.
Chukwuchebeanyi Onuorah Peyton was wrong as well. Brooke slept with Nathan after Peyton broke up with him. That’s wrong. Peyton got with Lucas while Brooke was with him. That’s wrong as well probably more wrong.
Everyone keeps talking how flawless Nathan and Brooke are over Lucas and Peyton but they keep forgetting about how much of a scumbag Nathan was between season 1-3 and how much of a hypocrite Brooke was!
Peyton is hypocrite!! She betrayed her twice and Brooke didn’t punch her!! And Brooke was still with her boyfriend while they were in love!!!! Peyton and nathan broke up before and Peyton didn’t even love him!! Punching her and causing her breakup with Chase was so hypocrite thing to do, not to mention that Peyton spoke dirty about Brooke behind her back while Brooke never did so! And for all of those defending Peyton, your friends should watch out from you!

I kind of feel bad for Peyton but the way she acted made me not feel as bad for her. It would be a lot easier to root for her if she stopped acting so innocent. Like what Brooke did was worse than what she did when it was the other way around. But Brooke's jokes about her mom were messed up as Hell.
