I think Brooke Henderson is the next LPGA superstar. I like her loopy swing. She brings the clubhead back a little outside the ball, approaches the top of her swing where she uses her shoulder to set the left wrist flat and the right elbow straight down toward the ground. That's a good position. On her downswing she uses her shoulders to drive that right elbow towards the point of her right hip and she sets her upper, right arm against the seam of her shirt. When she turns, her hip and elbow go together to the impact zone. So, she a) brings the clubhead back outside the ball, b) sets her right shoulder back a bit to get it symmetrical to her left, c) uses shoulder, arm, wrist, & hand as one to get her left wrist flat & her right elbow straight toward the ground, d) she seams her right upper arm to her shirt seam, and she glues her right elbow to the point of her right hip. Anyone who does all of that plus makes a good turn is going to swing inside out, and has a good chance of hitting the ball straight and far. My guess, and it's just a WAG, is that her grip is neutral to weak because I see little to no evidence of an acute draw in this swing. It also helps that Brooke is a world class athlete who can get away with lifting her hands above her head on the backswing. Oh, I almost forgot: she's pretty & she's poised. I'd say she will win as much as Paula Creamer, maybe more.
One of those swings that works for her but you would NEVER teach a amateur to swing like that. I haven't seen to many with a downswing like that, or at least at the tour level. Really interesting.
It looks unorthodox, but is actually very efficient. She gets the club head on plane really early. This allows her good club head speed. She averages over 280yds. That's pretty impressive for someone her size.
