This is a second video of one of my wonderful 'Coffee Trips' with Brian Angliss to Port Solent in 1993. This time we over fly Goodwood as it starts to prepare for the very first modern Festival of Speed. You can also see the Brooklands Park, starting to become the Brooklands industrial estate and Chichester Marina from the air.
The helicopter is Brian's SA341G Gazelle 1 Registration G-BAGL that would be Tragically written of a few years later.

I didn't realise AC Cars still existed. When I was young they were at Thames Ditton where I grew up. I also knew Wisley Aerodrome as I worked there once. Super video, thanks for posting.

Hi Mike. Ac Cars were reborn after the Thames Ditton Company folded, in an Agreement between FORD and AutoKraft. Sadly this also folded but not before many NEW Cobras were manufactured and sold (largely overseas). It is still possible to get onto Wisley as there are a number of public footpaths that cross it.

Thanks for recommending this video to me, Andy. I visited the AC Brooklands factory in 1991. I was sorry that Angiss's AC rebirth did not last longer.

Yes it was such a waste and so unnecessary, but that is what happens when a motor enthusiasts gets involved with uncaring corporate giants like Ford. However it did Brian's health no favours and made him leave this country.

@@AndysVideo The big companies cost reduce and badge engineer. Brian's Brooklands Ace was a very high quality product. Better panel fit than my1949 AC!

G-BAGL was written off, but not heavily damaged, it was being rebuilt but not sure if it came back to the UK. I did my Gazelle type training on BAGL.

That is great news although I am puzzled by you saying about it coming back to the UK as it was written off in Essex. Do you think it went abroad for repair? I would love to see the old girl again as it was a great craft and I was always surprised with the light damage that it was written off. Anyway please let me know if you hear more.

G-BAGL hit some wires, the damage wasnt to bad. It went abroad for rebuild, I believe it's finished but she hasn't come back.
