Did you notice that Kevin has the portrait Terry painted of Holt in his office? Great subtle callback to when Holt told Terry he'd give it to him and that he'd love it.

I love this show how it treats its gay characters. Being gay isn't their only personality traits (like many god awful tv shows and movies do) and it also gives cute romantic and normal moment for them!! Can't wait to see more of Kevin and the best character in the show, Cheddar!!!!!
The Dog's name is Cheddar. Terry Crews once said in an interview that Cheddar was a lot heavier than he expected when he picked him up, and the sort of strain you see on his face is real.
Reasons to fall in love with this show just from this episode. 1. Hitchcock looking for any excuse to take of his shirt like he’s Matthew McConaughy 2. Scully proving he has the best pipes in the NYPD 3. Gina being analyzed by psychologists like they discovered a new species 4. Terry crushing things with his bare hands like he’s Luke goddamn Cage 5. The introduction to the cutest dog on tv, Chedder 6. Charles proving he is one of the grossest guys on tv.

Kevin& Holt are the sweetest couple ever ❤️ I only just now realized that the painting Terry drew of Holt, under Amy's instructions appears again in Kevin's office when he's talking to Jake. Never noticed that before ☺️
This episode is one of my favorites. I know I say that a lot but it's so endearing to me that the whole squad has such love for Holt they literally panic and are unable to behave just so they can make him and his husband like them.

You both perfectly described one of the main reasons I absolutely love this show. They do all of the most obvious sitcom bits you would expect, but at least once or twice an episode they catch you off guard with fresh/unpredictable execution. Completely brilliant 🔥♥️
The thing too that some reactors and new viewers to the show miss, is that this aired after the Superbowl episode. The previous episode was paired with a New Girl episode and featured Adam Sandler and other celebrities. But this came essential two days later and I think is the best episode of the season in terms of (like the previous episode) being very character based. I always wished this was their superbowl episode and the one before this one aired after, just because I think this one defines not just the characters well... but the balance of tone within the show. Love the reactions guys. Thank you for this.
Honestly Hitchcock and Scully would be such an adorable gay couple but I love that they’re just an adorkable best friend “couple” that have been best friends for decades. That also have romantic shades to them but are so totally platonic
Was devastated when Greg moved the cat back out of the room. My eyes were pinned to the kitty. Genuinely was listening to the post-episode commentary more because of it, too. Usually I'm very distracted during that segment.
If you think about it, the behavior of the squad played right into Kevin thinking they were the same racist and homiphobic types he knew for decades. They bought the cheapest wine, moved in packs away from the party guests, Jake accidentally bungled himself into a pro-slavery stance, etc.
