I see lane splitting is illegal in NY, but is it commonly practiced/tolerated there anyway? Looks dangerous, tbh. Doesn't seem like it's tolerated where I am.
I do it to keep the bike moving and to avoid someone rear ending me while I wait (that has happened twice). People seem to take it rather nicely. Looks more dangerous than it is because of super view. Again, I do not recommend it if not comfortable.
