I'm a 57y/o white male that has lived in the south all his life, never saw race in this video, i saw our real life...God Bless you and keep up the good work
I can tell you there is something else. I died in the hospital and was down 14 minutes before they could get me back. I went and saw both my late parents. We were all the same age walking through a pasture of wildflowers. When they brought me back, I was really pissed. I was THERE! And they pulled me back. When final death comes, I’ll greet it with open arms.
If a song can bring a smile to your face or a tear to your eyes, then the writer and singer have done their job to leave a lasting memory in your soul you will always remember. Great song and video.
This is nothing but truth from Singer Ronnie Dunns childhood. Ol man Wrigley had a profound affect on his life as a person and a man ...he didn't see age or color, only a true friendship and mentor...the words written in red tell us that life has more meaning than just what you see around you.. Dunn was going to be a pastor but the music called him...thats evident since they now have around 11 albums and are true gems of country music. Ronnie's bluesy/gospel voice and the beautiful story video bring this home every time! I find I HAVE too watch the video versus just listening to the song...its that compelling. This is in my top 10 all time videos...
I love your reaction. You watch and listen to the whole thing and get the meaning and THEN comment. It's awesome and the look on your face showed how you were touched by this song. Thank you so much .
This song has spoken more and more to me as I've grown older. Especially after my great grandpa, the youngest of my uncle's, and my paternal grandpa passed within 2 years. Then seeing another grandpa falling apart due to Parkinson's disease. I used to not want to believe, but after all of that.... I'm more open to believing. That for some it is peace at the end, and a well deserved rest and sleep. And you are right that we need to accept that they is more than what we see in front of all of us.
I'm definitely giving you a thumbs up for the way you reacted to this video, I appreciate the fact that you listen to the entire song then gave us your thoughts. I will subscribe to you as well.
Glad you were touched by this song. We are all growing and learning each day ...hopefully. You might want to check out JOSH TURNER .......LONG BLACK TRAIN. It's really good too .
In 2020 my Momma passed from cancer. During our last few months together she requested this song (and only song she requested) to be played at her funeral. I had never heard it, and couldn't/didn't listen to it until the day she passed. I cried like a baby. I BELIEVE Momma. And I KNOW it doesn't all end with a ride in a hearse. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life...and the only way to the Father. I had a dream just a year or so before Mom got sick (or really we just didnt know yet 😔) that I was at her house at her feet crying and telling her I forgave her for the past, I repented for the things I did and said that did not honor her over the years and then I washed her feet. Then I woke up. That day I text her and told her what God laid on my heart. I said to her what I said in the dream and she said she said she loved me and she wished she could hear it every day. (I didnt mention washing her feet, she probably would have thought I was weird or something lol) Fast forward to 2020 and we found out she was sick. 3 months later she was paralyzed from the waist down (due to the cancer spreading). I took her in to take care of her. She didnt want that because she didnt want to put me through that, but I said no, you are my Momma and nobody will take care of you like someone who loves you. So she stayed. (Plus she cooked in a nursing home for over 20 years and knew how they treated patient's.) Anyway, it wasnt until one day I was giving her a sponge bath and got on the floor to wash her feet that I realized God restored our relationship and humbled me like never before... washing my mommas feet. She passed 2 days before my 40th birthday. One of the best moments was when I was helping her and she looked me in the eyes and said "Thank you for loving me so much". 😭💖 It wasn't always easy, she was "stubborn as a mule", as they say, but she was a fighter. Always was. All I could do was LOVE HER LIKE JESUS. So thats what I did. By the grace of God.
God bless Mr Wriggle for teacing him about Jesus! If we believe in Jesus well see our love ones again..its not sad if you know where your going and we all have to wait till our turn here on earth!
We all got to go sometime. It's not that bad. If you believe or even if you don't. Either you move on or it's the big sleep. No more pain. No more hearing the screams.
