I just ran across ya searching for Ghost Max 2 reviews and I gotta say: this is the most entertaining running channel I've run across; very much enjoyed the ball, music, and pop culture jokes along the watch. I'm curious to see how your retro call on the Ghost Max 1 plays out. look forward to witnessing the growth of the channel "Shenanigans, clown behavior, and tomfoolery - that is what we stand for."
I am tired of people complaining about weight in the shoes, unless is a race day shoe (which it is clearly not) weight does not matter. In fact, heavier shoes in training rotation will prepare you better if you are running properly i.e. lifting your legs instead of dragging them along. What matters is how comfortable it is, all this focus on weight is forcing companies to make the toebox narrow. If you are not comfortable in a training shoe, it will collect dust on your shoe rack.
The way he said, "..now she's going to think I was doing shoetube all morning. I was not." was the most real thing he's ever said. As a married man, I felt that.
I just got back into running recently & I put over 370 miles on my Ghost Max and lost +/-30 pounds. They were great for getting me back up and going again after decade plus fitness hiatus. I really hope they put more color ways out for v2 because I loved the looks of v1, but v1 needed some added pop to help get the feet to turn over a little - some bounce in v2 will be welcomed for the advancement of this shoe.
Thanks for looking out for us big guys! I am pretty new to running as a more serious hobby and at 6’4” ~210, I honestly would not have considered how my size might impact the feel of my shoes. I am definitely going to give these a try.
You just said all what we are thinking about the ghost max 2... uglier and heavier. They should not have released it too soon. Love the style of the first ghost max. I agree with your suggestion that they should have kept the style ang just change the foam.
Yowana gotta try the Hurricane 24 for a beefy max cushion shoe. The ghost max 2 looks like a BANGER. We need a video for the best shoes for big guys, I found the NB More V5 a little too mushy
@@supwell bet! Your boy is a 6’1 215lb ex linebacker who is a fellow running shoe sicko 🫡 current rotation adidas supernova prima, prime x2 strung, wave rebellion flash 2, and ghost max 2
I'm pretty happy with this shoe. Thinking about getting that white Colorway as well for casual. I think Brooks is making a good move on the design side, especially with the ghost max 2 and also Hyperion 2 with some great designs for casual as well. I've got Hyperion 2 on the way as it looks like a good lightweight daily and maybe casual..
I tried last version was a good bit stiff for me, or maybe it just needed breaking in but if I try a shoe on and it is stiff I usually will not buy it and I DID buy the New Balance More v5 and I love that beast of a shoe but its sooooo BIG!!!!
Just remember it's your channel..say it like it is..anyone that don't like what you are doing or saying they can go somewhere else.. it's nuts that other people think they can tell you what to say or do..that's what makes America the best place on earth..never give in to the haters..a loser will always be a loser..some just plain can't grow up and get over themselves..
@@aprichman yeah a lot of them have jacked up feet (lebrons foot is burned into my memory). But they also run quite a bit each game. The NBA started tracking the distance each player runs. Each year the top guy averages like 3 miles per game. Obviously that’s far from continuous running (especially because of all the fouls in today’s game) but even Lebron averaged over 2 miles per game last year. These dudes are in crazy good shape and I’m sure most if not all could bang out some impressive 5k’s. Longer distances definitely would be questionable though!
@@jaceskid yeah they are insane athletes and their cardio could probably support some insane times I just imagine the pain factor trying to run without stopping every 5-10 seconds would be very real on those jacked up feet
Great review… As usual, good to see a reviewer who puts miles on the shoe, and then compares initial perceptions to the actual experience. Lol, I’m an older runner, so while I like the look of all-white colorway, I’m sensitive to being perceived as wearing old man mall-walking shoes🤣🤣🤣
Out of all the run shoes I own, the Ghost Max 1’s are currently my all time favorite daily trainer, second place is ASICS Novablast 3’s. I definitely want to try the Ghost Max 2’s, but I’ll wait until they go on sale in a year.
I'll have to hope for a Ghost Lite for smaller guys; something with Loft v3 coming in around 9 oz. I also feel the bulk, even on a light shoe like Superblast. I'm going to try to do more testing on the Mach 6 vs. SL2 now that I think I have some ways to take the pressure off the sides of my feet from the narrow platform. New respect for those later runs in the heat. Athens was 85 degrees by 0700.🥵
I was rocking white cloud monsters for walking but they turned into my daily trainer so I might have to pick up a pair of these for my next white walking shoe 😂
Cloudmonsters are so good for walkin 👌🏽 Mine are completely beaten down now but we're my go to for a good year and a half. This would be a great replacement
Wasn’t expecting 6:48 in the Ghost Max 2, was thinking it was gonna be more 7:28 or slower tbh, not sure if lighter runners could get that pace if you need to put more force down through the shoe.
Typically a high drop shoe like 8mm to 12mm put more stress on the knees and hips vs the lower drops like 6mm and lower which place more load on the ankles and calves
Is the ghost max 2 same width as glycerin gts 21. I wear glycerin 21 in size US 10 Wide 2E. Do i need the same size in ghost max 2.kindly reply as i have to order online and the return is going to be difficult
Wow this would be the ideal recovery shoe next to the Hyperion max 2. I did not like the ghost max 1. My heel was sinking in the foam and get more Achilles problems. I think the new balance more 5v is perhaps also to mush in the heel. Question in the stride I go more lateral heel/ mid foot. The Hyperion max 2 or Hyperion max 1 are great because they have more a lateral bias flare like the meta speed 4 or edge speed. Is the ghost 2 also more lateral bias? It has also some lateral side walls i see. It is as firm as a Hyperion max 1 or 2? Thanks for posting.
It's definitely a little softer and less aggressive than the Hyperion max. I didn't notice any bias in the shoe pushing me either way but it was decently stable from the wider base and sidewalls that wrap on both sides
@@supwell Good to know. Do you know any slow pacer recovery shoe that has some what firmer foam or is equal to the ghost max 2 foam and has that stable ride and lower drop
This shoe was already inconsideration for me after this first impressions this moved up slightly higher that I might even pre-order it and I never pre-order shoes
