Useful review. Enjoyed some of the comparative comments around 16:45. Like you say, it will be interesting to see if more miles will alter the current impressions.

Great review! I have a pair myself. I really like that they help with pronation. I love the open toe box. I go back and forth between my New Balance and Brooks. Thank you for the shoe reviews. I’m tried so many running shoes for long distance running. I also have a pair for work. I’m in healthcare, and I’m on my feet all day. 👍🏻😊

Great review. I'm torn between these and the ghosts, not sure what to get.

Thanks! If you need some stability, these are would be the right choice over the Ghost. Also, at only a 10 mm drop vs the 12 mm in the Ghost, I would recommend the regular Glycerin 21 over the Ghost. Both are similar in weight.

The 21 feels slower than the 20 but what does the stop watch say? It would be fun to do a track day and switch shoes every 6 laps to see what the clock says. Sometimes my feeling on a run is opposite what the clock says.

Great point, Steve. It would definitely be fun to test it on the track. Unfortunately, I no longer have a pair of the 20s as I used them as my throw-away pair at the NYC Marathon. I'll keep this in mind for future comparisons 👍

Does anyone else find the GT’s/guide rails cause major blisters

I've never experienced issues with the guiderails, but no shoe works for everyone.

Do you feel the guide rails pushing up into your arch?

No issues there. I haven't had that issue with any of the Brooks shoes with guiderails.

Man, 50, 188 lbs, heel striker with collapsing arch (not flat), liking room for toes. Had surgery for lower back 10 years ago and a beginning of arthrosis in the knees right now. I am quite stiff and still a beginner when running. Would you recommand these shoes, the older version or something else ? Thanks.

Hey Charles! So far, I prefer the Vongo V6. I'll need to get more miles in the GTS 21, though, to be certain in the long run.

It does not feel as soft as the 20, because the tread on the bottom is harder.

Would you go for the gts 20 over this? Other then the 2mm increase in stack they are basically indentical. Also would love to see you review the GT2000 12.

Great question! At this point, I would go for the GTS 20 over the 21. The only thing that the 21 has over the 20 at this early stage is more stability. I am keeping an open mind, however, so we'll see if this opinion holds up after 100 miles.....As for the GT2000 12, I am considering trying it at some point.

Ha! Running shoes are so good today, that I typically start my ratings at 9! Even shoes I am somewhat critical of are still excellent shoes in general.
