BROOKS LAUNCH 8 / GTS REVIEW | $100 SHOE FOR ALL RUNNERS 

The ginger guy looks like he has zero personality. Wtf dude, smile a little, say something, dare I say talk about the shoe during a shoe review ? Just a tip (just to see how it feels). Shoe looks interesting, looking to try the gts. I think Brooks is on top of their game right now.

This is the Jaimie I love. Entertaining but staying on point about the shoe. Length of review was perfect and review partner was a necessary element. Yay!

Jamie, you were my first RU-vid running shoe guru. Always insightful and entertaining. Now, here's a suggestion, how about a review of $100 shoes? The Reebok Floatride Energy 2 or 3 verses the Launch 8, and possibly the Dynablast and SL20 v2 as well. Folks could benefit from your perspectives on reasonably priced shoes.

Loved the 6, nah on the 7, this one looks great.

Thanks for doing this review! I currently run in the Launch 6, and I immediately returned the Launch 7 - they were awful (I thought it was just me - thanks for affirming that I wasn't going crazy!) Excited to try the Launch 8's :)

What an unexpected surprise. I loved the Launch 6 which I switched to after the Pure Cadence was discontinued & earned my BQ in it! (this was before all the super-marathon-shoes appeared). I was under the impression that the Brooks Revel 4 was going to replace the Launch since it felt like an improved Launch and at $100 is also a terrific bargain. Very few reviews on that shoe but the ones that have been done are universally positive. Any chance of comparing it? You’d be the first and only...I’d assumed the Launch was going extinct! I didn’t notice jami had a different shoe until he said he has the GTS version..

I stayed away from last year's model but I might have to finally give in a buy my first Brooks shoe. Love that colorway!

I am still running in the Launch 5. bought it as an after thought during a running shoe sales... hated the first 100km on it, loved it thereafter..now 400km logged in with the Launch 5. I wonder when will the Launch 8 ever reach my part of the world.

Looks like a cool 100 value shoe. When ppl ask me whats a good 100.00 shoe, I struggle to answer the question, but this might be a good one for me to point people.

I'm between the Brooks Revel 4 and the Nike Pegasus 36. It's so hard to decide, damn it. I need something for daily drive/training. I think the Nike one might be better for long distance, but I need to train for speed (100m, 1000m and 1600m), not Marathon. It's my start in running, I'm a beginner. Wish me good luck I guess.

I've been wearing the ravenna's since the 5, before they had "guard rails". I've always loved the ravenna, so how does the Launch GTS feel in comparison?

Something is wrong with your Runner. He looks out of place next to you. His eyes darting everywhere, I can't bear watching it and had to skip. Jamie as usual is in his elements 🔥

HI, just a request, could do of some shoes for the gym, eg less the 5km on treadmill and then work out, what should one look for in a training shoe. I know this is not your cup of tea but it would give some people (like me) some guidance. thx

I wonder if Brooks will do this with the Ghost and Adrenaline. Adrenaline 21 instead of Ghost 14 or a Ghost 14 and 14 GTS.
