Led Zeppelin is THE. GOAT. And if Zay loves this drummer (John "Bonzo" Bonham) now, wait until he sees (you NEED to watch the live performance) & hears "Led Zeppelin: Moby Dick". It's about 15 minutes of Bonzo establishing himself as the undisputed King.

@henriettaskolnick4445
@henriettaskolnick4445 2 года назад
Congratulations on figuring out the headphone situation! I'd almost say redo all the Zep songs WITH the headphones so you can hear what you missed the first time around. I betcha people would still be here for it; I know I would. This song was inspired by Howlin' Wolf's song Killing Floor and Robert Johnson's Travelling Riverside Blues. This song is a great example of some of John Paul Jones' bass work; he is vastly underrated and is considered the "Swiss army knife" of the group because he can play damn near any instrument, arrange, and produce. The sped-up part is what they used to call a "rave-up" and was meant to get the audience hyped and on their feet dancing. Happy Easter to you guys and your families and shout out to your Moms' supporting your channel. 😁

Led Zeppelin are one of the few headline bands whose members have never been recognised by the UK honours system. One time the Queen met 3 guitarists, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page (of Led Zeppelin). She clearly didn't know who they were and when she got to Jimmy she said 'Are you another guitarist' and he said something simple like 'yes'. There's a video of this on youtube somewhere.

Probably because Led Zeppelin were the ones who invented the phrase "party like a rock star." They were notorious for their off-stage antics. Destroying hotel rooms and such. And their reputation likely kept them from getting such "official respect."
@heliotropezzz333
@heliotropezzz333 2 года назад
@@robbob5302 That's true but The Rolling Stones were also regarded as 'bad boys' and Mick Jagger got a knighthood, though the Queen found an excuse to be absent for the presentation and let Charles do it. Rock and roll itself was considered disreputable I suppose. No many rock and roll stars were knighted but plenty of dodgy politicians and businessmen were knighted. Some knighthoods were based on services to industry or exports. LZ would have qualified in that category.

This is my favorite song to warm up to when I get out my guitar. It is a great 12 bar blues jam. JP Jones has a killer bass line. The vocals, drums and the guitar are smokin. That, by the way, was not a "Whammy" but a "triill". By hammering on and off the string, you get that back and forth between two tones.

Nothing, I mean absolutely nothing, gives me more pleasure than seeing someone enjoy a classic as much as you guys. I had a cheese eating grin from ear to ear watching your reaction!

Just imaging being 17 years old and seeing them live in Portland Oregon for you very first concert . Festival seating no chairs on the floor and when the band started i was pushed to the stage . Kinda tight up there . People jumped on the stage and tried to tear off there clothes at the end They never came back to Portland again . I saw a lot of bands in my day but they are still my fave band and always will be . What a memory for a guy now 69 years old . Those were the days cool bands and muscle cars and girls with no brays .This is a great song but they have so many others also . Enjoy brothers

Jones plays a killer bass line: "drums and guitar are awesome". Page bends a note: "oooooh..."

You guys are awesome! I really started listening to Zeppelin my Sophmore year of HS in 1986, but grew up in the 70's hearing my dad playing them. They are by far my all time favorite band. You need to react to 'How many more Times' - 'Immigrant Song' - 'Heartbreaker' - 'In my time of Dying' - 'Black country Women' - 'Dyer Maker'- 'Nobody's Fault but Mine' - and I could go on and on. Keep it up you won't be disappointed!

Sounds like you and were born ( and born again) about the same time. But my dad never listened to them, sadly. Luckily, a friend introduced me to their music. When I immediately dropped New Wave/Pop music like it was hot. And never looked back. 😊
