Brother Blue 

I first met Brother Blue (en.wikipedia.o...) in 1968 when I was asked to join a jug band as musical backup to Blue's storytelling. From that time on until his death in 2009 we were fast friends. In 1971 or 72 I was to play a New Years eve show in Harvard Square and I knew that Blue and his wife Ruthie were going to attend, so I wrote this song to surprise him. After the first verse he jumped on stage and started to dance. It was wonderful. So as this songs says, this song's for you, my brother Blue.
