Brother Mouzone running up on that dude, instantly makes you want to watch a whole sequel on Brother Mouzone’s rise from street nigga to a respected enforcer that even Barksdale outsources. Damnnnnn
This man knew lamar was gonna get freaked out and draw heat towards himself looking for omar. He knew one of omars boys would follow him out the bar to say what businesses he got with omar. Real strategic. And all of this just from a tip off “he only run with 2 lil boys” and his knowledge on omars sexuality. Thats it.
See, this is why Rawls is natural police. Even in his downtime he tirelessly protects and serves the citizens of Baltimore. The man is pure selfless integrity.
Well most of the very homophobic people are on the DL that’s why they get so defensive when homosexuality is brought up so that’s what mouzone was kinda implying lol
Brother Mouzone:"Lamar they'll see u as conflicted,Your Homophobia is So Visceral". Lamar:"See there I ain't neven stepped in the joint and you calling me a CxckSuxker already"...😭😭😭😭😭😭 Brother Mouzone intelligence got Lamar thanking he trying to play him
I remember watching this with my boyfriend for the first time and when I saw rawls I just didnt even know what to say I was so shocked 😄 this show is amazing
Borko: You right when you say I need to learn more discipline, but this? You could do this better. HBO: Your the perfect bait Borko, they'll see you as a retired hockey player. Your uploads are so allegorical. Borko: You see that, i ain't even upload a video yet you copyright strike on me already.
Does anybody else think Brother Mouzone is a prototype for Gus Fring on Breaking bad? Like not to say they stole him entirely because Gus is definitely his own thing but I just see some parallels and I wonder if gilligan saw the wire and thought “I want a guy like that as one of my big bads”
Maybe this has been posted before? Anyone noticed that when Brother Mouzone sends Lemar into the gay bar to get info on Omar, there’s a sign on the inside of the door (S3, ep10). Must be a staging error. It’s reads “Leon & Tyson’s Place will be closed on Friday, 17 Sept for filming of HBO series The Wire”
The reality is that homophobia is quite prevalent in the black and brown communities, and The Wire was able to highlight that while also not being “preachy” or contrived about diversity and inclusion. Representation matters and a character being gay wasn’t necessarily “forced down your throat” (as some homophobic folks like to say) and was simply an aspect of a character’s personality, not their entire personality.
I like the way it was done with Rawls. You see him here and there just chillin', having a beer, minding his own business. This younger generation don't understand not everyone wants to walk around with a rainbow flag on their back just to be out of the closet.
Homophobia is pretty much prevalent in most people in general. Try making any straight person watching gay porngraphy of their own sex and they would react in disgust. That does not meant they would descriminated another human based on that. Hating and beating someone because of how their sexuality made you feel is pathetic and used to be more prevalent enough that they were made to descriminatory laws.
@@aa-.-477 yes. Vincent was Marlo’s bank. He advised him in a few scene before this scene with Mouzone. Vincent was also the person that Prop Joe went to when he was trying to negotiate a peace deal between Stansfield and Barksdale
"Your homophobia is visceral." "My what?" "Homophobia." "Oh yes. I have a homophobia." "Lamar, what does homophobia mean?" "Why, Brother?" "Well, you told me you have a homophobia. And I just would like to know if you know what homophobia is. I would not like to think that a person would tell someone he has homophobia, and then find out that that person has *no idea* what it means to have homophobia."
Brutha rubs his goons face. He’s gay. That’s why the dude even said. This you could better. Meaning because he’s gay anyways. There’s a lot of little details that point to Brutha being gay himself
