This was exactly the info I needed. I posted a crazy low bid price on Ebay feeling sure there was no way it would be enough, and I won the auction but I've had no time to figure out anything about the machine so I'm scrambling to learn what I can before it arrives. I was looking through the boxes of pre-wound bobbins but they aren't quite the same size as the brother bobbins and I didn't realize there was a particular weight thread I need so thank you so much for taking time to share this.
I just received my first embroidery machine today. I have never even used one, but was excited to get started! I have watched 2 of your videos so far (threading the bobbin, and threading machine) both were EXTREMELY helpful! I appreciate you very much!
Excellent! I try tried to show everything close up and provide a lot of details as I was getting frustrated myself watching videos with people's arms and hands in the way while they were describing what they were doing! :-)
THANK YOU!!! I haven't used my 770 for ages because I had such a difficult time winding the bobbins. My 4x4 machine loves pre-wound bobbins so that's the machine I've used the most. BUT I watched your video and I've already wound 2 bobbins without a hitch! And this wasn't the first video I've watched on winding bobbins for the 770...but it IS the first one that made sense!! Thanks!!!
There's a small hole at the top of the plastic bobbin that you can push the thread through before you wind it. It works great to keep the thread spinning evenly.
I've been pondering getting this machine for about a year. It's the only one I can afford and it seems easy as I will be a beginner. Please continue your videos as I watched another and I do not understand the computer part (making folders and such)..thank you.
So, just for future reference, that plastic base plate with the cut knives on the bobbin winder comes off extremely easy if you ever get it unwound under it. Just pull up on it. Literally takes seconds to slide it off when that happens. Happened to me yesterday. When you put it back in, just make sure the notches mate back to each other so it goes down all the way or else the empty bobbin won't lock in. The prewound non-Brother bobbins have a trick to them in the fact that you have to apply finger pressure before you put it into the channel to get it to engage the spring under it. I thought I had tension problems, but it was because it wasn't locking into the carrier when the machine picked it up. So, I actually did have a tension issue, but not because of the bobbin thread. They are Polystar pre-wound's
My daughter just got the PE 770 for Christmas. Your videos have been so helpful to her in setting up the machine. Could you possibly share a video on how to actually get started with the embroidering? We are having a difficult time getting started. Thanks!
Lisa Boyle Hey Lisa I seen in a youtube video comment from you that your daughter bought a PE770 machine and you where needing help with embroidering. There are two Facebook groups I am in that will help you with embroidery and with your PE770 machine. Come join the group and you will learn so much in a short time. @645804148796463 facebook.com/groups/OhBrotherMachineEmbroidery/
I finally opened my PE770 box and with your help on this video I began my new journey. Looking forward to learn more with you, thanks! Someone mentioned a FB page, is it for embroidery teaching also?!?
Thank you for this tutorial! It is the first thing that has gone right today!! I 've been having some thread/ tension problems and I believe it may have been the pre wound bobbins that came with my machine. I was able to wind my bobbin without a hitch!
I just ask for admission to you FB group. Are there more video's there. I really want to buy this machine but want to learn more about it before I do. I see someone here had to return the one she bought for her daughter and instead bought a Singer. Please tell me this is a good machine!
