I can care less about his personal life... it's the information that matters. Its the information that should appeal the masses. They claim Michael Jordan is a gambling addict, and doesn't care about his own people...But nobody can deny his ability on the court. And that's wat really appeals us 2 confess he's the greatest ball player ever. I only respect celebrities for their craft... I got my own life 2 focus on...not wat they do with theirs

Many "religious" Christians, some who aren't even devoted and have never even read the bible, are some of the most judgmental people one will ever meet! Living in America with so many Christians, I've realized that if someone is not within one of the three Abrahamic religions, most Christians just lump them in with Atheists! Since I live in America, my experience with this subject is limited to here. Most of these American Christians are simply Christians because they were born into Christianity! They had nothing to do with it and never made any choice other than to keep believing what they were taught, yet when it's time to defend it, some act like they chose it and they've damn near been to seminary school! It's like some have no understanding of indoctrination or belief systems! Still, when someone has been courageous enough to step out of the programming, with a sincere desire to understand who or what God is, and are willing to research and study all the materials that they come in contact with, the simple Christian's, who were just born into it, who've done no research on even their own religion to the extent that they've never even read their own "holy book, are the first ones to call someone an atheist! Everybody who is not a Christian, Muslim or Jew is not an atheist! People who don't inspect or try to find out everything about their faith, yet blindly trust it, just because they were born into it, look idiotic telling anyone who's sincerely been searching for truth anything! Who is more serious and really trying to understand God and God's nature, the one who has just accepted what was passed down to them or the one who has been courageous enough to go where their search has taken them?

Sir, from your essay I can tell you have never studied the Scriptures. If you study the books from a history perspective you’ll get a glimpse at the power and understanding about the omnipotent force “The Most High” . I know it’s hard for individuals separate the Bible “Old Testament and New Testament” and Christianity but it’s truly not one of the same. Society has pieced the two together. You can look at brother polite life and can tell his soul is empty and tainted with all those luciferian beliefs. My advice to you is never follow down that path.
It's called "Convenience." But Polight speaks well. Knows the theory. And I'll say... He is playing a game. But if some one were to teach you how to know, this is totally up to you to meet your teacher, half way.

I'm an atheist. Technically, an agnostic-atheist. Because I can't "know" with 100% certainty, that there is no transcendent being that would qualify as a god. But, I have yet to hear, read or see, any reason to believe that there is one. I came to this conclusion after over 20 years of study, practice and deep thought. I do consider myself open to new evidence or arguments.
It would be more of a conversation. Craig is deeper than most Christian apologists I've seen and wouldn't engage Polight in an overly dramatic display of "one upsmanship".
Sounds like from the time that Polight initially made the statement about being an atheist till now he probably came across information about different perspectives on what atheism means and now he's trying to back track because he prolly realises that atheism in the traditional sense is nearly indefensible.
Tru-ID Podcast There are no different perspectives of atheism. Only stupid people perceive things differently after you claim you’re an atheist. What information about atheism are you referring to? Atheism is simply a lack of belief.

I know everyone has their own style but Polite should go the Brother Panic route just put the info out and don't get caught up in the debating because everyone believe what they believe
Any person who has an open and rational mind, and does not bring any preconcieved bias, to the Deep study of the scriptures, armed with a Strong's Concordance, a Hebrew, chaldee and greek lexicon, a knowledge of the grammitical, archaeological and secular historicity, and the help of the Holy-Spirit to draw proper biblical exegesis, cannot in my personal opinion, come to the conclusion that there is no God.

Let’s start with he is using a bad definition of the word atheist. He said “Lack of belief”. He is using a remedial layman definition when speaking on a philosophical level. The actual definition of Atheist is someone who believes that there is no God. From what I have gathered from what this man is saying is he does not believe in MonoTheist/Abrahamic God. Ok fine, but based on what he preaches and what he says he is a Pantheist. Not an atheist. If anything he believes God is that of Spinoza’s interpretation.
I haven't the knowledge as this man polite has of history but I agree and have thought and feel same as he does about religion's and god yet I never really speak on it because of the same thing he said here. That people of religion are in other words or I'm aware that there capable of doing something or making threats or it hurting my progress being that I'm from a small middle American town and word travels fast ...anyway I'm glad I came across brotha polite and just wanna say thanks
He's agnostic. Agnostics pick and choose what they believe. Im my experience, these types are the hardest people to talk to because they don't believe in absolutes. they're not sure about anything. The only thing they're absolutely sure about is that there are no absolutes. And that belief is self destructing/a contradiction. Nothing but confusion.
disciplesouljahz This is not necessarily true. I will, when pressed...freely admit that I don't "know" with 100% certainty that a god does or doesn't exist. Because by mist definitions of god, you would have to BE that god to know, with 100% certainty. That said, I see no reason to assume a god exist, without good reason. I think that makes agnostics MORE reasonable and easy to have a discussion, than a person who claims 100% certainty of something that they can't demonstrate with 100% certainty. If I'm talking to a christian and they claim to "know" with certainty, that god is real because they feel jesus in their heart, they really aren't going to be able to demonstrate it. But they are most likely convinced, and wouldn't be open to discussion.

If you don't believe in the Supreme Creator, that makes you an Atheist ⚛. There's no ands, ifs and butts about it. Otherwise, he seems very intelligent.

People want to base their lives on rational though yet are irrational themselves and would be better off just admitting that. Love is irrational, yet people love. So the "rational" person comes up short when dismissing God.
