This is the final cutscene from Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, the direct sequel to Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30.
This game has one of the best storylines and it has the most cinematic feel.
This is from the ending, where Matt Baker (your character) has to make several decisions that lead to the ending of this game, that leaves us ready for the next (and possibly final?) installment of the Brothers in Arms games.
This scene takes place after one final effort by the Allied Forces to make Operation Market Garden a success, sadly, however, things fell apart and the entire battle was a 'strategic failure', the Allies would have to find another way to reach Berlin.

@TomZanovich Its not JUST the rank and being turned down 4 times, its also about Baker knowing what happened to Mike and Larry and keeping it from everyone, especially after Corrion was defending Leggett when everyone else hated him.

I just watched an intervew with Troy Baker, the voice actor for Matt Baker. Apparently he's best friend is David McGarry the voice actor for 'Red' so now I see why this scene hits so hard.

While some aspects of the game mechanics annoyed me, namely my squads always getting killed when I used "fall in" command, and placed a charge on a flak 88. But really, who cares? This games storyline was absolutely amazing, the ending made me tear up. I really knew who each character was, and when one died, I felt bad about it. A great ending to a great game, can't wait for the next one. Bring on the snow!

Corrion doesn't believe Baker can handle the responsibility of being the squad leader because he thinks baker's slowly stepping into insanity himself because of how hard he takes the loss of his soldiers. Corrion thinks he can be a better squad leader than both Baker and Hartsock but wasn't chosen as one so he starts to distrust Baker and possibly goes awol or transfers to a different squad.

Well Baker wanted to protect leggett because he thought that if the rest of the squad found out about Allen and Garnett, they would kill Leggett. Because of all that guilt and pressure, Leggett went crazy at the end of the first game and was killed.

@FR4NCHEK Operation Market Garden was an invasion of the Netherlands. An attempt to open up another entry into Germany and thus bypassing the Siegfried line, which was heavily defended. Normandy is in France. That was over in August 1944 after two months. Market Garden was in late September 1944. Snow is probably a hint at The Battle of the Bulge (in the Ardennes in BELGIUM). Which is also NOT not in Normandy, France.

Yea know gearbox would love to make a hells let loose brothers in arms but they need to concentrate on story and some decent gameplay the old games were definitely dated even on pc whacked out hey I got a pc now I just started replaying these 3 games they look better at 4k tho hells highway looks better on pc than on xbox series x well that game runs at 720p lol but on pc just looks way better

red hartstock loses his finger and he has lost all his movement in his back and legs but can still use his arms I cracked up crying out of all the games that are ww2 based medal of honer was more about the gameplay but it does not teach what the soldiers go through in this game baker tells you what he saw how he felt when gearge was killed and the heart break between allen and Garnett then Legget committing suicide by letting a tank blow him u guess the guilt eats at you like it did to baker I think baker will die in the next game I just can't see him going any further and you probably play as paddock or corrion but I have always been wrong no one knows what happened with the 502nd during Berlin or bastone

@Three1Bravo Furious 4 is not part of the BiA story; it is a separate game. They just tagged it with the BiA name. They are making the final game in the Matt Baker storyline based on the Battle of the Bulge.

I liked this game the best of the series. They added in some excellent plot and cutscenes and There were some great characters added like Dawson and Franky. Onlty thing that annoyed me was the pistol thing felt added in later as there was no mention of it in last games and I couldn't actually work out why the characters were carrying around Baker's pistol.

Man, I cried at this ending, most emotionally gripping game I have ever had the pleasure of following. Best O.G. Xbox game I played, and definitely one of my Favorites on Xbox 360. Now, they turn it into this stupid, over-the-top, Inglorious Basterds Esque', "shoot 'em up" game. Fuck, that would make me wanna cry more than this ending did.

After Furious 4 they will don't worry. At the end of Hell's Highway The British pathfinder guy (I forgot his name), Says there is snow ahead. The next one will take place in Belgium most likely through Germany which will involve the battle of the bulge.

Well, after Market Garden the 101st Airborne and the 10th Armored dropped into Belgium, which was snow-covered and was a frozen hell. So Baker and his squad will be sent into Belgium
