1st play: "Well this is new and catchy." 5th play: "I really like this song." 58th play: "RISE ABOVE THE MOUNTAINS!"

Fun fact: Brothers of Metal is born in a long night with lots of alcohol and Manowar. The next day a song had been recorded. They liked it so much they published it. For this they used the name of another Manowar song, Brothers of Metal. With a little less alcohol they might have noticed that not all band members are brothers. That's why the Twitter account is also named Siblings of Metal. The song becomes a hit and a tour manager takes notice. He has to replace a failed band at short notice and asks the Brothers for help. They agree, but don't have any more songs. So have to record a full album in a short time. With that they go up immediately and after that they publish it. The rest is legend.

So glad y'all finally got around to checking out Brothers of Metal! You definitely need to listen to "Prophecy of Ragnarok" if you want something of theirs that's heavier!

Yggdrasil is the world tree in Norse Mythology, it's branches hold the 9 realms. At the roots of the tree is the realm of the dead / underworld (Niflheim and Helheim) and at the top of the tree is the realm of the gods / heaven (Asgard). Earth realm (Midgard) is in the middle. So the chorus "Rise above the mountains, light a fire in the sky, for the blood is running still from the roots of Yggdrasil. Rise above the mountains, light a fire in they sky, carry me to the hill, to the top of Yggdrasil" is talking about their dead bodies going down to the roots of the tree to Niflheim and their souls going up to the top of the tree to Asgard since they fell in battle and were deemed worthy to enter Odin's hall.

After that intro, we all got to know Twon a whole lot better than maybe we were ready for lol. Banger song though, good for getting hype
