Well, it finally happened, my first collab with ‪@HistoryBuff‬ is here! We were hanging out the other night, and before you knew it, we were listening to music. I got History Buff into Clutch and he in turn got me into Brothers of Metal!

About 1972, my brother had a Black Sabbath album and I have loved Metal ever since. I have heard hundreds, if not thousands, of Metal bands. Brothers of Metal is one of my favorites! Thank you, BOM, History Buff, and Mike for this wonderful experience of this review. By the way, Manowar gets Honorable Mention on my list

It is almost unbelievable how good weaver of fate is, it feels like a song that lived forever in collective European dreams until it was brought into reality from this astounding band

Weaver of Fate is one of those songs that just makes me cry like a child. It touches some very deep parts of my soul and gives me this feeling, this longing of a home that I never even knew. It's like having a flashback from a past life or something like that.

The female singer is also part of a group called Good Harvest. A female duo group that do more softer acoustic music, where the two trades harmonies and acoustic guitar playing.

Not only are they history/mythology inspired, not only do they rock out, their sense if humor is almost as warped as Alestorm, yup!(if you don't know Alestorm look them up, but not if you're easily offended. They swear like well...sailors. It's Pirate metal) Great reaction!

Thx for your reaction, i love that song so much, it is uplifting, funny and just a banger and Ylva Eriksson appears like an awesome big sister managing a band of young boys only with nonsens in theire heads :D The only thing i want to add, is that in every "vikingish" Video, no matter Music Video or the actuall Viking tv-show the equipment has nothing at all to do with actuall historical and archiological evidence. Leatherarmor, with random metal, Fur, trink horns, face paint /eyeliner, hair style etc. they are just having fun and the video looks like as if Terry Pratched would have written the story, and i love em there for. But i consider it as fantasie (i realy enjoy) not history :)

@@HistoryBuff I thought of it as cheesy as I often also do with Feuerschwanz. But the good thing is that music is so diverse that we don't have to have the same taste 😉
