Hey y'all! I know y'all said a prayer for me and I just want to let you know it has been answered quick! I just found out yesterday from a pet scan that my cancer is 100% GONE! Thank you all for your prayers and awesome videos! I'm now on the road to recovery and things are looking up! Thank God for this miracle healing once again!
I am unconcerned with how many years Kent and Shannon have been together. I am impressed more by the fact he can still get her to laugh. That is how life ought to work. Enjoy life as much as you are able.
Mr. Kent Rollins, I applauded your cooking skills...Shannon is very lucky to have a man like yourself...I also applaud that tip your hat to all servicemen that keep old glory flying...in these trying times I believe we should tip our hats to the first responders, may God bless and keep them safe.
Cowboy Kent Rollins Libby has earned a free tee shirt and/or apron for the newest, really appropriate slogan! I’ll buy a tee shirt whenever they’re available! Size, large and getting larger, because of too much “fine dinenning”!
Aloha from Hawaii once again, Kent and Shan (and to the doggies too!) May I give a little tip about the bananas? Being from Hawaii where many of us grow them in our backyards, the bananas you want to make into banana bread should be WAY more brown. And I mean to the point where you peel them the white parts are starting to turn to mush. It's not rotten yet, BUT much easier to mush into a dough than the ones you were using. As such no sore wrists, hands or shoulders will result. Good refrigeration helps keep them from going too far. The bananas you were using were actually perfect to eat and some of us like them even browner than that because the sugars have really come out as a result and make for some of the sweetest flavors you can get. For all our mainland ohana (family) please stay safe, healthy and mindful of your fellow hoa noho (neighbors) and hoaloha (friends). Mālama pono! (Take care!)
You introduced me to Monterey Jack and Chilli grilled cheese, have had 3 since that episode. It was a challenge to find some here in Brisbane, Australia. And now you have shown me how to do banana bread. Guess what I'm doing this weekend? I thank the both of you for these videos, which help to break the stress of home isolation during this world wide pandemic. Take care and don't cut your fingers again. I hope the band-aid isn't in the banana bread mix! And as a Veteran I thank you for caring about all Veterans
It looks so peaceful there, alongside the water, a cool breeze blowin', the pups relaxing, the aroma of fresh banana bread, wafting through the sunny air, man, it's natural therapy! Thank you for that!, and the recipe too!!
Me and my 5 year old son love this channel tomorrow we're making quesadilla tomorrow for the first time my son loves seeing Duke and beagle defanatly making lock down go with a smile thanks again
Made a double batch of this today! It was great! Cooked a loaf and muffins! On the bbq of course. Used the recipe right out of your new cookbook! I love it! Thank you Kent and Shan for the kind and inspiring messages in your book and the pictures and stories are second to none! Please keep doing what you’re doing we all need a little bit more of family and faith in these uncertain times! Stay safe and healthy. Your friend from Ontario Canada
I normally keep 3 small pebbles around to use as spacers between the cake pan and the cast iron. Allows the air to circulate around and I have never burned anything that way.
I made this this morning. It tasted really good and I will use this recipe again. I cooked it inside and set the stove at 350 and cooked for 45 minutes as indicated. Next timer I will go 50 minutes. But, it's my stove and it is just the way it is. Thanks for the recipe.
Hey Kent its lovely to see a sweet recipe from you to mix things up! However, this talk of banana bread only reminds me how much I love garlic bread. Would you consider doing a garlic bread or a similar recipe for us? Many thanks!
This came out at just the time for me. My daughter is making her banana bread and bringing dad a 1/2 loaf this weekend. I was thinking about what I could make for her so I am making this tomorrow to give her a half of loaf! God bless every from our house to yours!
We would always throw a few coins in the dutch oven when we would bake biscuits or whatever in a pan -- not sure if a good idea or bad but it keeps the bottom away from the heat a bit.
This is almost the same as I make it. Only difference is I put the cinnamon in the batter and a touch of fresh grated nutmeg. Never used cream cheese before but I promise I’ll do it next time. Thank you brother Kent and God bless!
I just made a loaf using your recipe... OMG.... finger lick’n good!! Only change is I boil the butter on simmer until it starts to brown ‘cause it gives it a touch of caramelized flavor, yes I did. Completely over the top!!
Hotel California By the Eagles..... .. retooled by me,,.inspired by ol country Cowboy himself, "Rancho Oklahoma" by the bEagles on a warm Dusty Prarie, Cool breeze in my Hair, warm smell of Chipotles, rising up in the air, up ahead over yonder, I heard a beautiful sound, Beagle was Howlin and my Rations thin, I had to come around, The Cowboy stood by Ol' Bertha, he's a real life tall tale, I was thinking to myself, This must be heaven because of that smell, Then he gave me a "Howdy", and he pointed the way, there were voices in the sacred tent, Thought I heard them say, "Welcome to the Rancho Oklahoma" such a lovely place, such a lovely taste,, Plenty of tents at the Rancho Oklahoma Did you like the steak? Do you know how to make? His mind is thinking of brisket, He got the chuckwagon too, (uh) He gotta couple pretty pretty pups, Beagle and the Duke, How he dance when it tastes good, sweet summer pie, Some eat cuz their hungry, Some eat to survive, So I asked Cookin Cowboy, i said "Please Sir may I dine " ? and he said, "grab yourself some Brisket and Bread, and You'll feel fine, I smelled Aromas they calling from far away, fill me up at the end of the night, Still I hear them Say.... "Welcome to the Rancho Oklahoma" such a lovely place, such a lovely taste,, Plenty of tents at the Rancho Oklahoma Did you like the steak? Do you know how to make? they have Huevos Rancheros, Pink sirloin is nice, and he said, "We all give Thanks For our Meals, sometimes Twice" and then the dinner bell rang, and we gathered for the Meal, steak Fajitas and some spanish Rice, This Cookin Cowboy's Real !! Last thing I remember, I was, running back for more, I had to find the recipe, to that food from days of yore, "look here said the Cowboy, I got just what you need,.. This ol' Beagle will agree with me, I'm the best indeed," "Welcome to the Racho Oklahoma............
I am going to write this in my cookbook!! Wonderful rewrite to that song and honoring Kent and his cooking. I also always love to hear Shannon giggling in the background. It always makes me smile. Kent and Shannon you are such a great team!!!
My paternal Grandmother was a banana addict, so she was a wiz at making banana bread AND banana pudding...best I ever had!....ever had banana bread french toast for breakfast? Oh mah gooness pass the molasses!!
Hap Newsom So did my mom and her mom. The aroma from the banana bread was almost (almost) as good as the bread itself. Their banana pudding was great, but their butterscotch pudding was straight out of heaven.
We made Kent Rollins' banana bread yesterday. EXCELLENT!!! We have their cookbook and, at first, we thought, "no eggs??? cream cheese???...." but is great!
I saw them letting the dogs lick the dishes. I grew up with animals and they were members of our family. Some friends of the family, however , did not have animals and really did not like them. When they found out that we let our dogs lick out some of our dishes they were so disgusted! They never came to our house again. I guess they didn’t think we could wash our dishes properly. 🙁
Gonna have to try it My wife Lexie made the Peach Cobbler in the Cast-iron skillet HOLY SWEET MOLEY I HATE PEACHES BUT I LOVED IT WE MADE IT 2 DAYS IN A ROW AND HAD PEOPLE OVER FOR SMOKED CHEESE BRISKET AND BEER CAN CHICKEN THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR RECIPES AND FAMILY FRIENDLY VIDEOS! My wife and I just got an induction range with a convection oven. This was the first thing we baked in the new oven. It came out great. I was a bit nervous doing the convection but I though with the loaf pan being in a dutch oven should be ok. Thanks Kent and Shannon.

When my grandkids ask what I did during quarantine, at least half of my answer is going to consist of "Learning to cook, and with the aid of Kent Rollins, everything I made thanks to him just so happened to be amazing!" Cheers. This is truly bananas good.
Micheal Domayer just like you, I prefer to eat bananas that are a bit over ripe! They have much more flavor and as Kent showed us, you can do so much more with an over ripen banana!
Mr. Ken, My son and I watch all your videos. Wez born and raised in Texas, and love your films. Thank you very much for your dancing, except don't hurt your knees just to do the dance, we all want you at your best; my son and I have tried two of your recipes so far. Brisket turned out great, took pretty near two days to cook though! Haha, I'm serious. My step dad used to do chili cook-offs back in the 70's during his retirement, I'll bet you were at a few of em too! Anyway, I never comment, but had to say hi, and thanks, and keep them dogs off the table! Haha! Thanks kindly, from a Granny in Texas ♥️

My boys and I down here on the Elk River Ranch in southeastern Kansas love to cook out. We use Kent’s delicious Red River Ranch seasoning,.......wooooooooeeeeeeee.... Blacken those burgers with that and it’s good eatin. Even my hound dog loves the scraps...if he can get some that is! Keep up the good cooking Kent!
Made this tonight Kent and oh my goodness. I have NEVER had banana bread like that!! It was gone in less than an hour and only 3 people were here to eat it!!!❤
My wife was going to make banana bread so i asked her to make it like yours. But she decided to vary it a little. She added chopped pecans. It was very good. You may want to try this variation. It was something to behold. yummylecious.
I love your cookbook!! The stories are wonderful. I read most of them over the phone to my mother. The seasoning is fantastic. I have been using it on about everything. My husband loves it. Thank you!!
I loved the "naner bread" video. I am not sure if you noticed, but Shannon, you might have missed a blooper. Around 1:35, Mr. Rollins mentioned "trips and tricks"! I love the bloopers at the end of your videos, they give me a good chuckle. Best wishes from Indiana and hope to see you all down the cook'in trail.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Banana Bread Without Eggs. I’m making mine this way next time. I use the cinnamon sugar too but put it in the middle of the bread and add Pecans. Love from Big D.
Why would 50 people dislike this? Oh, I know.... it's 50 people who think their dog shouldn't lick out a dish or eat off a spoon. I don't trust those people. I made this banana bread today in a cast iron loaf pan. AWESOME!!
I slid a loaf of strawberry bread into the oven, sat down and got a notification. This video popped up and now I wish I had some bananas. The kids ate them all, which makes me happy but I really want to try this recipe!
Wow, everytime I see this pond I want to go fishing. When I was married we use to go to one of her relatives in west central Olahoma fishing. Loved it. Creeks and ponds! 😀 can I go fishing there? I'll shut the gates! 😉 HA..! You guys are like finding a cool drink after wandering in the desert. God bless.
Hello Mr Kent I make this same bread a few times a year the except I don't put the brown sugar mixture I do take and sprinkle some cinnamon on the top of the dough before I cook it although I do cook it in the oven in the kitchen as I don't have any cast iron cookware or even a place to build a fire I live in an apartment complex I have not cooked with cast iron since I was in boy scouts about 100 years ago I have decided that I want to move in with both of you because I know that I will have good eats not to be confused with Alton Brown's show good eats
