As an enthusiastic although nerve damaged roadbike lover who cant change gear or put foot down to stop, this is ve-ry interesting. If i could understand it, i would probably be even more impressed.
I think this vehicle will be appreciated for folks who would like to do medium to long rides without having to learn how to control an enormous bike such as some Harleys and BMWs. But from the moment I saw the Piaggio MP3, these trikes seems dated. The Piaggio is a tilting trike, so you can ride it just like a bike, leaning into corners, thus making it safer.
I have one and I get 43 mpg. My price tag about $16,546. I have no problem with it. The only problem was I had to wait a month for it. It rides like a car, very stable.
Hmm I think you might have something there, though with those old ATVs they had fat, bouncing tires that didn't do so well with the outrageous ways people were riding them. I think that two wheels in the back would be a lot more comfortable and could be fairly safe if the whole design was tailored to reasonable riding conditions, versus hitting whoop-tee-doos at crazy speeds ... . But for sure, your point about the braking is on the money.

They need to take the Can Am and put the Piaggio MP3 front end on it. Then they have a all road type bike with the power to take a curve at bike speed. Wonder how long it will take them??
Seems like riding a spyder would get boring, isn't it much more enjoyable leaning in a turn and rolling on the throttle coming out bringing a 2 wheeled bike back upright again that keeps things interesting even after 6 hours of riding? Just saying.
This trike would get the Bone Head of the Year Award for bad design if there was such a thing, as who in his right mind would want to hunch over something like that for more than 10-minutes? My back gets sore just thinking about it.

Can Am and Rotax, dont think so, if it was built in Japan I might consider it. All the disadvantages of a car and a bike. Cant see the point, if there is one.

I thought the whole point of having a bike was to lean over and hit the twisties. I'd rather take a ham sandwich than be stuck with a can am. I guess its not a "bike" but more like a "Im a pussy that doesnt know what to do with his money"

Too much money not easy to park like a two wheeler. Looks dated in one year, needs a little more aggression so men will ride it. Lots of sizzle not enough steak.
Try a bike not a trike! 1000 times better! A trike is good for an old person or a person with balance problems! But if you haven't those problems why buy a trike? It's like a bike with training wheels for adult! I'll never buy that!
