Steve Carrell's gibberish scene will always crack me up, especially his nervous desperate laugh at the end. Also, Jim Carrey's best comedy seems to be these concepts where he can improvise.
Catherine Bell (the lady newscaster sitting next to Steve Carell's character) was supposed to have various lines and reactions during the gibberish scene. But she just couldn't keep it together because it was all so funny.
14:48 how are you guys not LOL-ing in hysterics the whole time, it’s literally the funniest scene 😂 Jims facial expressions, what Evan says and does. I laugh every time
Love this movie!!! Some great laughs and amazing life lessons. You should now check out 'Evan Almighty' with Steve Carrell and Morgan Freeman. A great sequel to this movie.
I am glad you guys got to this one. As you guys know by now. Carrey movies of the 90's were an entirely different experience. Some jokes in life are joy buzzers, while others are canned air-horns. Jim Carrey movies are typically not quiet or subtle. They are loud, like a metal band... Yet, there are also time, when his movies have moments. They can get quiet an leave an impact. You have Truman Show, Liar Liar, this movie, and the Majestic. Now, I very much recommend the sequel. It's a bit of a different experience, but it has its moments too. For another Carrey film, that has a good message in the end, I'd also recommend "Yes Man".
The only winning element of the Sabres team is Sabertooth. Sure, he's not the best mascot, but he's lovable, friendly and always behind his team......no matter how many times they lost.
Soooo, did you guys just miss, or skip, all the bloopers that played at the end during the credits?? One of the funniest parts of the film! Always watch the credits!
This movie is golden. I love this movie so much it's so funny and good. Great reaction. You guys have to do the movie "Yes Man" & Ace Ventura pet detective ❤
The idea of what some of those "yes to all" prayers would have been about is terrifying when you think about it. I do love the fact while he can transform the world natural laws are still a thing so moving the moon closer to earth causes tsunami's and other disasters.
Dude this is so weird I’ve literally been wanting to watch this movie and just looked up reactions last week! And now you two are doing it lol so happy!
Morgan freeman had one of the best speech teachers in history in acting school we should give that teacher credit for the amazing job he did with Morgan freeman.
My Husband knew Jim when they were kids...he was the red headed cousin of a friend with the bowl haircut that entertained the neibourhood with his crazy humor... my Husband Mike knows how Jim got the chip tooth ....its a great story. 😂
This movie was a bit controversial when it first came out. Many people were complaining saying that it was blasphemous but I never saw that. I thought that it showed just how much we need God. We are selfish on our own and while we may want things, many of those things are not what we need or what's best for us. We might not understand everything but God holds the master plan for our lives and by trusting in His vision and love for us, we find ourselves in a much happier place, a better sense of contentment and reason for us to achieve through our own efforts. Its a great movie. Evan Almighty was pretty funny too.
@@Eaglelioncourt It's okay that you don't share my opinion and maybe that wasn't the intended angle but I find joy in sensing that underlying meaning. I didn't think every prayer represented in the film was selfish and egotistical. I thought the prayers that Grace said for Bruce to find contentment were representative of the humble calling on God for the benefit of another. This idea was further strengthened when Bruce realized that what he truly cared about was Grace's happiness and wanted her to find the love she deserved, love he failed to show her. While it didn't show the more tribulate prayers you've mentioned, I don't think they were meant to be totally disregarded. In fact, I think Bruce waking to Grace being vigilantly at his bedside is an understated portrayal of the power of prayer during times of trial, distress or sorrow even though we didn't actually hear Grace's prayer for Bruce's recovery. I don't believe that stating that humans are selfish by nature should be interpreted as an insensitive or shallow mindset suggesting that I'm also of the belief that we're incapable of compassion, empathy and altruism. If it came across that way, it was unintentional.
Yepp a typical American religious overreaction while on the other hand the rest of the world just saw pure Comedy and zero issues with this movie when it came out in cinemas world wide.
You have to watch Evan Almighty after this. It’s sorta a spin-off. Other people say it’s not, but it’s got a couple people from the first one which kinda tells me it is a spin-off.😂. Either way… it’s funny Stay safe my dudes and catch ya on the next one
I recommend: Almighty because for me anyways, it also had a message behind it. It made me feel nostalgia and made me forget about the negativity in the world. In my personal opinion, it was just as amazing 😊🙏
I saw this in the theaters with my dad when it came out and when that gibberish scene came on, everyone in the theater was laughing their asses off including me.
Oh yeah, this was actually my dads favourite comedy movie, his favourite serious movie series is the Dollars Trilogy (A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad And The Ugly).
I remember i watched this movie in the theater back in my 7th grade year. The theater was filled most with laughing sounds, especially Steve Carrell's gibberish scene.
I just watched this yesterday for the first time in awhile. That’s like the 3rd time this has happened in the last two months with you guys. Uploading a video of the movie I just watched the day before.
The Steve Carell blabbering scene is easily one of the funniest moments in my life. I still remember how bad my stomach hurt after laughing so hard. I had to force myself to stop laughing to catch my breath. It was the dumbest thing ever & painfully funny 😭
Yes, that walking on the back does, indeed, feel really good. Guys, for real, if you ever get the chance to get a professional massage try to get one where a small woman walks on your backs. Trust me, as a fat man with back issues myself, if you have back pains it can be a life changer.
Holy crap, I definitely see Jim Carrey the Mask vs Michael from The Office in a fight because I do enjoy the movie a lot and I was wondering if you guys can please do a movie reaction the Christopher Reeve Superman films along with Brandon Routh's Superman Returns 2006 film? Thank you.
10:34 - No, bro. He's parting the Red Sea. 13:19 - Yes. there were ppl who actually wanted to "Body Slam" Jennifer. In All kindz of ways. 20:43 - Jim Carrey have control of facial muscles, and he can make so many faces. In this moment, he looks like the actor Treat Williams.
YES omg I've been hoping you would do this movie.I love it so much.and since you love Steve carrel, you need to watch Evan almignty.Steve is pretty damn good in that one too
