We all like Bruce because he's a genuinely nice man with a human side. His empathy and concern for Petterson is nice to see. However, hockey is a tough game and it's about statistics --- scoring goals and making assists and winning games. As of today Petterson is way down at #305 on the NHL League Leaders list. He should be far above that based on all the high expectations. Boeser, Miller, Connor Garland and Quinn Hughes are currently at #89, #93, #97 and #113. DeBrusque and Hoaglander are also ahead of Petterson, who needs to get up with the the other top Canucks very soon, or else the controversy about him being one of the NHL's Top 10 Highest Paid players in 2024 is going to get more unhappy for himself and Canucks fans.
I will give Petey some slack for the first half of the season if he is recovering from an injury. I've had a soft tissue shoulder injury and most of the time I'm ok until a certain position tweaks it. Takes time to get confidence he won't reinjure himself or worsen the injury.

Why do they even talk to this guy? The team stunk with him behind the wheel. Not to mention he’s so clearly bitter any time he gets asked about the canucks.
