Here's a soaring, fantastic theme from Broughton's score for "The Boy Who Could Fly". This lush, dynamic suite illustrates what I feel is one of Broughton's best scores of his career. Enjoy!
I think this theme stuck with me for some reason when I was younger, along with Superman and a few others like E.T... It is the whole "exhiliaration" thing... I LOVE this music, always have. :)
I first saw this movie when I was about Millie's age. I wore a ring for months afterward, even though I don't like wearing jewelry, because I was so in love with this movie. This dreamy, uplifting music was one of the main reasons why.
Brilliant score...One my favorite movies...I fell in love with Lucy Deakins in this film...Great cast..Mindy Cohn Fred Gwyne... Great all around film for whole family..I love the ending when the school counselor said something like..If you believe than anything is possible...Nice ending to the credits with Steven Bishops 'walking on air'... Brilliant... 💛💛💛👏👏👏👍👍👍
I can’t believe I only been to the El Capitan twice in 2013 and never saw the curtain show with this beautiful music. I didn’t know at first they used it the first time I saw this movie. Eric was the first movie character who I felt represented as an autistic individual!
The music makes me think of Lucas and The Karate Kid. So many real life childhood films that give real clarity to originality in cinema!!! Space Camp and Flight of the Navigator as well many films from the 80's!!! My true childhood film the best fantasy film ever in my own opinion The Neverending Story is eternal in my heart!!! I wish I could fly!!!
