Honestly Bruce never put in the same effort after 82. To be honest I don't blame him it's really hard on his voice but MAN those recordings of Bruce singing run to the hills in 81 on the killers tour complete with high notes are amazing
100% agree. I don't know why Di anno, who's ever decided to be the singer in the first place out of the three singers made in head since they signed, Di anno was the worst singer.
Incredible how tight this band was in the rehearsal space ...many bands with pro tools and all modern technology at their disposal wouldn´t have a clue where to start emulating what I hear in this "rehearsal demo " (??!! ). This is fire ,won´t get much more Metal than this...1st saw them on the 7h tour of a 7th tour with Helloween opening -you might not believe it but there were still pretty strong residues of what I hear in this . Thanks for sharing ...priceless !
I like both Bruce and Paul’s vocals. Both in remember tomorrow, but Bruce did it better in one part. In the part of “yesterday sorrows”, I felt Paul kinda rushed it a bit and the beat is a slower one. But, Bruce slowed it down a bit and fits better.
Each singer does their songs best and I can't imagine either of them doing the others better than they do themselves. Who do I like better? I'm undecided because I like the first four albums the best and would have a hard time picking one
Is it Bruce singing ? Sounds odd, like neither quite Paul nor Bruce ... thanks for the information though ,all these years and I had never heard of that EP´s existence ...actually got into Maiden 1 or 2 years after at a very young age ,at a time when even the official records were extremely rare in this country . Where I currently live there was 1 record store in the Capital who imported Metal music .Imagine that in case you happen to be younger than I am .
@@saraivatoledo1842 It's Bruce. His early voice is outstanding and had a wide range. This maxi single can't you buy officially. But on YT it's streamed well. Otherwise you have the option to buy the old 12 wasted yers single series from 1990 for a lot of money, or the orginal single maxis for more.
Paul kicks ass, but for those who don't like Bruce due to his operatic tendencies, they need to hear that version of Killers, thats some young Hetfield stuff with better range, almost the perfect thrash singer. Just to add, Bruce is my favorite vocalist, just when he was younger, with that screaming, he could of fronted a killer thrash band, that was still a couple of years and some more brutal guitar playing away though
I think Bruce does a great job singing Dianno era songs. Off course nothing like the original but he does a great job. I can't say the same for Blaze era songs. He does ok/pretty good , not bad. Blaze voice and style is so different so I guess it must be hard.
The last song is clearly live , and not only that ...I recognized Bruce in the 1st two songs -not so much on "remember tomorrow " though ...even the way he thanks the crowd at the end ,I have strong doubts that is Bruce ...could it be that Maiden auditioned anyone else in between ? And if so, who exactly ?
Remember Tomorrow was recorded by Di'anno in Japan 1981, Bruce voice is oberdub, this raw and vulgar mix is a quite worse than definitive release later as a b-side of The number of the beast single.
@@mioszalberski8473 Nicko did know them before that... and technically did play drums for them once in '82 for a (mimed) TV show- Clive was ill so Nick found an Eddie mask and filled in. an interesting note
Into Iron Maiden since around 83/84 and also , just like you , did not recognize the voice on "Remember tomorrow " ...it´s odd cause it didn´t sound like either Paul or Bruce ...maybe it´s ear damage from hundreds of concerts in over 35+ years .
Can’t help but laugh when people even compare Dianno to Dickinson.Dickinson just cripples him especially here when he’s at his peak!Like saying who like better someone who sounds like Bon Scott mixed with Bruce Springsteen or Bruce Dickinson !
Lazy comparison ...matter of fact is that if we go by "musicality " you should be listening to Opera singers instead of poor man´s copies of the Ian Gillans and Ronnie James Dios of this world .Paul Di´anno was an unique singer/frontman ,precisely why those 1st two records are still held in high regard ,timeless even ,whereas albums like "Number of the beast " aged extremely poorly .
No point in speending it up the way it was done here. The original recording was not like this. Crap sound. Love Maiden and this track but in the normal version.
Stop singing his songs? Hahaha, what were you on when you wrote this? This is an AUDITION TAPE from 40 years ago! Bruce had no problems at all with not singing "Paul's songs." He only had to sing Paul's songs long enough to take his job, then the band moved on to much bigger and better things. Solid career of genre defining metal, huge smash albums, world tours, one of the greatest and most successful metal bands to this day. That's Bruce's resume. Meanwhile, Paul lived off "his songs" for the next 30 years playing nostalgia shows to bars full of 50 people in Eastern Europe. Tried to make some other music that made no waves. Pretty clear winner there, mate.
