He said "No" to the Iron Maiden return question because he was tired of getting those questions and wanted to try and put a cap on it. It's not like he actually thought long and hard about it and then decided "No." You can't really say "Yes" or "No" to the question because you don't know the future... Maybe if he hated Maiden for some reason, but obviously he doesn't/didn't so there was no way to tell.
@Sauw1 Ha-ha, on the contrary, I find his speech crisp and precise, and quite indulgent to a foreign ear. Thank god, I can even get what he says from stage, which is always worth hearing. And thank god he's a talkative guy )) I just love him speaking
That interviewer looks like a really young diane sawyer and I can see what you guys are saying, she's like a...robot. but looking at this old footage, I a Maiden fan can honestly say I am so glad Bruce ate his words.
@TealBerryEmerald from my understanding he was an ben working with adrian smith who took his leave of iron maiden for some time. adrian smith left maiden before bruce left. adrian and bruce worked together on a couple solo albums of bruces. bruce ame back becouse blaze bailey wasn't working out with maiden and maiden fans weren't to exited abou blaze and about that same time bruce was perty much done with his solo stuff so bruce and adrian came back..
That host... Ahe's more like the gal you'd run into at a bar or something... I mean, so casual. I like her nonchalance (is that a word), but a little strange as a professional host.
@TealBerryEmerald yea at that time and point back in the 90's bruce was finished with maiden on good terms. compared what i read about when adrian smith left. back in the 90's from a heavy metal magizine articale i read.and bruce wanted to do a solo stuff that was entirely difrent from maiden more like stuff he grew up on when he was a kid and teenager. stuff from the late 60's and 70 rock music.
@Samson 92 written by whom most iron maiden books are out of print mostly things like this that happened in the past. besides they have many books on the band which one? and if that's the case why Steve let Bruce back in his band after that kind of threat.
Hverglemer - Old comment, but he wanted to pursue a solo career. - He only came back because he was asked and they also gained a load of money from selling assets. And Bruce proposed they would not sit around but actually work for it.
