Why Bruce Dickinson solo albums are so underrated? No one talks about them, nobody gives any credits to them but honestly I like his 3 recent albums more than those of recent Iron Maiden albums
I rate Tears of the Dragon - The rest not so much. Certainly wouldn't rate it above .... Hell what a list: Fear of the Dark, No Prayer for the Dying, Powerslave, Number of the Beast. Roy Z's superb. But better than Maiden - be serious.
Its just a question of poor taste of many people. They will always prefer something like The Trooper than something new. For them Bruce have only one song - Tears of The Dragon, huh... Sad but true. Most people do not understand the music
I think I'd get more excited about the new Bruce album to be honest. I mean, IM is my favorite band of all time, but let's be honest, I'm listening to Powerslave, Somewhere in Time or even Fear of the Dark albums way more than let's say, Book of Souls. It's not that I don't like the new stuff, but I just don't like the prog rock permeating their sound so much. How many 10+ minute songs starting with the same sounding mellow intro do we really need on one record? Bruce's Tyranny of Souls showed the singer being capable of dishing out straightforward killer metal tracks as well as emotional ballads when you need a ballad. I'd rather IM go this route than the one they've been going since "A Matter...".
@@Suzumebachigr Not sure, but I heard him mention in interviews over the past few years that he plans on doing another solo album. It may be a while though, since Maiden just came out with a new album.
I live for Bruce and Dave. I've seen Maiden about 100 times since 1987. Amazing. No words can suffice the greatness! Thank you Bruce! Lori Jean Hastings DE USA ❤
bruce has a technical ability to control his voice like a finely tuned instrument. i feel he is constrained by iron maidens formula, although i love maiden, bruce is a much better singer on his solo stuff. just my opinion.
I've bought this album on CD the day it was released! Loved it ever since... But seeing this video, with the lyrics, the great guitar work from Roy Z and the wonderful voice of Bruce Dickinson immediately occurred to me that this song would be completely perfect as a theme for Battlestar Galactica! It seems written for the series!
If I would be the astronaut going into deep space, this song would definitely be one of the top-tracks I'd listen to. This song has covered the emotions of exploring new interstellar grounds (Mars f.e). It really had me with the lyrics "living death by gravity" (how physics law limiting us by nature) and "flowers in the garden of the gods" (planets and solar systems size and colour). But yet all of the song's sentences has a deeper meaning and perspective that are difficult grasp and imagine. Humankind landed on the moon and saw the earth as its fully only then, but to go even further is hard to visualise in the astronaut perspective... overwhelming none the less. But this song helps
I met Bruce Dickinson 2007 in Bulgaria. Amazing person, simple genius... If someone need chords of this song, please ask me and I will send it. Thanks for the uploader- really good video and timing.

what a beautiful way to describe the future and the mankind space discovery adventure....and very beautiful song too...dedicated to the child we all still carry inside of us
AHAHHAHIHIHI u just made my day when i saw the picture in 1:58 the song says we will go and not return but down in the picture center says leaving for good :)
One of Bruce's more elite songs, it's earned a place among: Son of Gun, Tears of the Dragon and Arc of Space, to name a few. I enjoy when Bruce makes a solo recording, acoustics are included creating a sound apart from Iron Maiden. We get to hear pure Bruce.
I've noticed and it's kind of sad but Bruce's solo stuff lately has been a lot better than the newer maiden albums, although book of souls really did kick butt
Very good! the only observation would be in the stanza Purple gold and blue, Every hue living colors, flowers in the garden of the godsno Can one ever knowif you never saw growth Them darkness, is really full of light, I think Dickinson was referring to spiral galaxies and not the flowers literally ... But very good!
