Mark St John was a really solid player. What happened to him was sad. In a perfect world, Kiss would have hired Bruce for Creatures. He did some great work with Kiss.
@@StrokerAce78 Clearly. Kiss only has 20 gold and platinum albums without Vinnie. While Vinnie had zero without Kiss. Although the VV Invasion did have 2 platinum albums after they kicked Vinnie out and became Slaughter. Vinnie is a good contributing cowriter but all evidence says Creatures would have been fine without him.
@@rticle15 i know the whole story believe me.. to be honest i could care less for kiss or anything they did in the 70s.. or even the 80s or 90s.. yes they did have a couple of songs that are okay, that i like. But thats only 4 of 5 out of their entire catalog.. im not biased because im not a huge FAN or whatever. But as a professional guitar player myself of 25 years its obvious that vinnie was responsible for the sound of creatures of the night and lick it up.. kiss was pretty much washed up and old news at the time of creatures.. even their elder album was awful BS! Vinnie helped breathe life back into a band that had simply blown their load.. vinnie is a bad ass guitar player/musician... but his ego was no match for the big dicked dictators paul and gene egos..
@@StrokerAce78 im surprised a professional guitar player would think so much of Vinnie's playing. In his prime, his skills were average at best and below average at the professional level. If Vinnie was the driving force behind two albums, he wouls have written quality music before and after those two albums. Paul and Gene both did that, especially Paul. Vinnie onl seems to have success when writing with them. The math tells me that Gene ans Paul wrote the bulk of both albums and Vinnie contributed. Like a screenwriter who can write a funny line but not a movie.
Bruce is an AMAZING guitarist and I think he deserves more credit. (Not that anybody doubts his abilities) when I went to the creatures of the night tour, I was like “ Who the hell is this guy??” I can’t remember if he did a solo during that tour, but I definitely remember his solo from the asylum tour. Freaking amazing! It was the asylum tour solo that won me over and I’ve loved him ever since.
Dude this guy bruce smokes mark . Follow bruce for decades he's my all time favorite. Love ya bruce. God bless brother so sorry about Bob he was awsome guy.
Bruce is a great, well rounded & well grounded guitar player!!! Even better yet, he’s a pretty normal guy!! He doesn’t come across like a POS Rock Star who thinks he’s better than everybody-or some over the top weirdo who has his head soooo far up his own ass that he can’t hold a conversation!!! Which basically means: He’s tooo down to earth to be in KISS-especially the makeup version of KISS!!
Mark developed Reiter's Syndrome. His fingers on his left hand swelled up to about twice the normal size and one of his knees puffed up. Unfortunate situation but Mark wasn't really the right guy for the job. Thank you Bruce for being a great player, person and bandmate for KISS for 11 years
Unca Vinnie IS a fusion player and Kulick knows this. I love Unca Bruce though as his playing was/is very sound......it's like a good Beef Stew. I've heard a story, similar to this, that explained how Animalize allegedly went down😎.
The best Kiss line up was with Kullick and Singer. Kiss never sounded better. During the Revenge tour Kiss sounded like a band ready to take over the world again.
Umm kiss or pisss onky plays there hits at concerts for last 30 yrs ... guess whos on those hits ?? ace peter ..bottom line they havent made crap worth anything since the org 4
I dont either... look at it this way.. after animalize was finished the band went on tour, but suprise suprise they didnt play any of the songs that were on the album.. maybe one.. what kinda BS is that??? Making an album, then going on tour to support the album, but not playing anything from the new album your supporting!!!! they were playing songs from their older albums, the same old shit they play today.. mark wasnt that kind of player.. thats why the hand thing fabricated, as to be an excuse for mark not to play... if i were mark i wouldn't wanna play any of their old crap neither
@@StrokerAce78 they played a few of those songs. I went to see them on that tour & there's the Animalize Tour on video, which they played 3 or 4 songs from that ablum.
@@gordon9177 im not old enough to have seen them, i was born in 87.. but ive watched quite a few recordings of shows from that specific tour. I have always been curious about mark st john, and what had actually went down during that time. To be honest, everything that has been said about what went down with mark it just doesnt add up.. its been documented that mark was into drugs such as meth/ice.. and from experience with the drug and attending nursing school for 3 years, i very well know that the chemicals will cause severe problems with joints, such as severe pain, swelling and inflammation.
@@StrokerAce78 just seen your message. I seen this tour and Bruce played that night. Mark did a couple of shows on this tour & that was it. KISS did say his hand flared up and swellen wouldn't go down. Mark, said, when he started playing all these blues lick/solos from the KISS songs, that's when it happened. He gets let go and starts a new band (WhiteTiger) & he's shredding. There's video of it on RU-vid. they didn't go no where. 3sides of the coin has a friend of his (Mark) that talks about Mark and what happened. Don't know the guys name, but I believe he wearing glasses.
