Again what a collection. The statues are magnificent. I though the copies were always ok, but they are nothing to the originals. And from the 70s too. If I said they are nearly priceless, I don't think to many people would disagree. It just gets better each time. John, congratulations on such a wonderful collection, and thanks Charles for filming it for us to see.

Hey charles another great episode john has himself one hell of a collection those statues are amazing and he has them all from the 70s authentic i heard of that sculpture you mentioned he a famous Hong Kong sculpturer it incredible the amount of membroblia john has you would need a spare room just for Bruce lol, bruce inspired so many people. Michael Thank you so much for your great comment. That sculptor Lau Au San is truly magnificent the statues were some of his first works into Bruce Lee as you may have seen he was the one that did the huge HK sculpt that overseas the HK harbor. Soon to come Charles does an episode on my second room which I was in the process of organizing when he visited, so stay tuned my friend more to come.

@@vetteusmc your more than welcome my good friend two bruce lee rooms and now another i was still am an avid bruce collector my whole bedroom walls were covered completely in vintage bruce lee posters my walkin wardrobe had a shelf inside and hosted a beautiful picture of Bruce with the grave here lies a man consorted by the classical mess hope thats correct as it was back in the early 90's i had numerous of his books like yourself and all his movies old rank video sleeves i lot them all to a fire unfortunately, John you have yourself a magnificent collection im starting to rebuild my collection an item at a time thanks for your message my i cant wait to see your new room. Love it! John has one of the best Bruce collections I have seen so far. Love the statues. I have some but they're copies. I even have that high kick statue. I believe it's a copy but still rare I guess as I have never seen another. Stay safe guys!

Entertaining episode! The 12 ceramic Foshan statues by sculptor Lau Au San from the late 1970's are very rare. Many of them have cracked. It's nearly impossible to find a mint one with the pink silk lined box and pink sache that originally came with them. I know Andrew Bovell has many of them and W. Wong the chairman of the Hong Kong Bruce Lee Club is another collector that nearly has them all. Till this say I have not seen a collector with all 12. There's a collector in the UK that has many but has not completed the collection. I had the black and white original ad photo on my hard drive somewhere. Although the face sculpts don't resemble Bruce Lee much, the poses and muscle definition in the body sculpts make them catchy to look at!

Another great episode! The Foshan statues are gorgeous and the FIRST to capture Bruce’s likeness in statue/figure form. John, remember when I called you from Chinatown when I saw a Foshan statue in a store front? Took me forever to find the seller but his asking price was outrageous! Great display my brother, always a treat to look at your collection. 🤜🔥🤛

Tom My friend so glad you enjoyed the statues the problem now is that when they do pop up is one getting a genuine statue and two making sure the seller takes that very extra step to pack something that is very heavy and fragile from breaking. stay tuned for more to come.

@@vetteusmc I hear you John, can imagine they are very fragile considering the age as well and unfortunately a lot of sellers dont seem to want to take extra care to pack them safely when sending. I bought a 3ft Bruce statue off ebay last year with him holding the nunchaku...very similar to these Foshan statues actually. Unfortunately it arrived smashed to pieces. Never seen one on ebay before or since and I paid nearly £200 for it. Devastated wasn't the word!
