Pffft.... Yeah and those same people call a black person a racial slur and a a Latino man a spic. Things which bruce lee never did. They are not a position to judge anyone. Fuck the average joe.

They don't even know themselves let alone mistake themselves for something they could never be because they don't have the genetics to do so. Hey just keeping it real. The truth is what people should handle and face.

Far ahead of his time, great but so humble, so sad to know that you died so young yet very famous, as Mohammed Ali the boxer is loved by many, it would have been so nice if would have been alive, you and Mohammed Ali together in images would have been great, love both, respect both, I loved your demonstration, very brutal killing speed demonstration yet behind there is innocence like a child, we will never see another Bruce Lee, that's for sure, rest in peace, sir, God bless your family.

This was actually Bruce Lee's screen test for a proposed TV series that would have been titled "Number One Son" ( in which Lee would have been playing Charlie Chan's son, in a contemporary setting). The series never got made, but the screen test did lead to Lee being hired as "Kato", for "The Green Hornet".

Matthew Polly, in his highly comprehensive and generally excellent Lee bio, says his subject's "anxiety was palpable" early in the interview, until he describes the gung-fu as glass metaphor. I don't get that from the video. To me, BL is a tad uncomfortable but not at all anxious early in the interview --

Impressive for it's time, however The 800 Pound Gorilla waiting very patiently for it's appearance on the World stage to show everyone the very best martial art was revealed about 30 years after this vid, was Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Helio and Carlson Gracie Sr. for example, back in the 60's-70's would have been formidable opponents for Bruce, who I thought was great BTW anyway...Definitely a Legend for sure.

Kyle Gosman Just the same, out of all the truisms of my FIRST post, you just HAD to pick and choose something to disagree with me about, didn't you?? Hmmm?? So Bruce Lee wrote ONE whole chapter on Judo, well WHOOP DEE DOO, I specifically mentioned that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu would come on the scene later, NOT Judo (And yes I'm well aware BJJ/JUDO are fucking related, but only to a point) And that Helio and Carlson Gracie Jr. would have been formidable opponents to Bruce in that era. What's NOT true or GLARINGLY unrealistic in your twisted brain about that, PAL??

Master Ding dong So checking up on this interview we actually find that bruce lee was filming from midnight to 5 am when doing films in Hong Kong he would have gone to school as well, giving him time to do other stuff maybe there was just no time to study kungfu if there was it was very limited. You're right when i studied kempo jujitsu i was never trained by the grandmaster he would show moves to the group so an old Chinese traditional like ip man he wouldn't teach any new students directly and in every documentary i have seen on bruce lee they always say he was taught by Yip man this is false wong shung leung is not referred to often i think i only saw one the man the myth where they refer to him. Wong was interviewed for death by misadventure, i think wong taught bruce a bit but probably nowhere near as much as people think. In the book Unsettled Matters bruce called himself an advanced beginner taking lessons from fook yeung as you said so definitely he was not a martial artist and no fighter either.
@silverfoxsilverfox6932
@silverfoxsilverfox6932 6 лет назад
Master Ding dong What it looks like is he learnt some forms and he possibly did some wing chun as there are videos of him showing some i dont know much about Chinese kungfu but i heard that after the wong jak man fight bruce tried to get lessons from wong jak mans teacher but got turned away then he got lessons from one of the teachers class mates. All the demonstrations i have seen are not that spectacular, at the time he did something different which must have caught peoples eye, he will never be called a fake as he is simply too famous and the image created and maintained by his estate preserves his legend status. There is a situation here on youtube with a guy Jake mace claiming to be a master of Chinese kungfu some of the very rare styles as well but he is fake and people are calling him out but i think to somebody that doesn't know that he looks legit to them. It's strange that a Chinese would use a Japanese word to describe his martial art system this goes against there own way especially when you think of the Japanese occupation of China why would bruce lee do that? That's clearly not right. I think through my research and you revealing a few other details it makes it even easier to see that Bruce Lee was not even a martial artist some masters in martial arts have even said this. There was a few interesting points raised in jesse glovers book which you actually confirmed, first of all bruce lee never wanted anyone to see him being taught he seemed to eant nobody to see him learning from anyone why try to hide that? And secondly Glover is quoted saying bruce went back to hong Kong to ask yip man something then when he came back lee was annoyed and started calling his art jun fan gung fu. You said he tried to get yip man to go to the states i am beginning to think that event of him trying to get yip man to confirm his status happened as glover wrote about such an event. Only somebody with no credentials is going to do something like this as i said before i have only heard of one freak of nature and that's hwang jung lee he learnt on his own for 5 years in the korean mountains then got the black belt and kept going i dont know when he learnt from others but he did and got to 10th dan now 2016 mix martial arts master very high rank. I cant see how bruce lee could mix a few things together and call that martial arts, the footwork was poor and the attacks lacked power but nobody says that and right side forward is wrong you must do all techniques from both left and right no question.
@silverfoxsilverfox6932
@silverfoxsilverfox6932 6 лет назад
Master Ding dong The fanboys of bruce lee will never believe that bruce lee was not a martial artist they are too focused on his film image. I think most of them never studied martial arts in their life but act like they know something when in fact they know nothing. I think too many people are focused on movies it takes a long time to get good at martial arts allot longer than most people think. Now I think it's hard to get good training as if teachers are too tough students simply quit, to get the real training an old school master is needed for training they will push the student hard because that's the way they got taught.
@silverfoxsilverfox6932
@silverfoxsilverfox6932 6 лет назад
Master Ding dong I think if bruce lee was alive now he would first be disappointed that his art is practically dead but he may well be shocked at the way people worship him. He wasn't comfortable as a star whilst he was alive and he would be even less now with all this legend hype crap surrounding his image. There are a number of interviews with bruce lee on RU-vid and he really believed he was a martial artist so that belief made everybody else believe what he was saying. I had a commenter say the other day that bruce lee was the most humble artist, I'm like you clearly know nothing about the man he ridiculed classic martial arts declaring it classical mess the guy didn't understand forms so he says it's useless that's not being humble at all but arrogant and ignorant.
@silverfoxsilverfox6932
@silverfoxsilverfox6932 6 лет назад
Master Ding dong Well he never got the ten million and he never got the inner harmony what he did get was living his life as he pleased which was chaotic mayhem. That's the other thing about lee that says he wasn't a martial artist there was no discipline at all, training can be good for the body if done in the right way but when done wrong it can cause serious damage and he did everything wrong. Bruce Lee over trained, he did this electric machine nonsense on his body, and he took drugs, the main thing that really destroyed him was the anabolic steroids and cortisone we know he was weak and sick as a child and that continued into adulthood, the anabolic steroids gave him the ripped body, when i say to people there is no way he could get his physique naturally they think i dont know what i am talking about. They think i am wrong but i am not wrong, If you take into account his condition of chryptorchidism which is having an undescended testicle, so he had only one testicle. I have been doing bodybuilding now for 18 years, in order to build muscle you need testosterone this is something lee lacked as he had just 1 testicle, you can survive on one but being an elite fighter and building a ripped physique like what he had is a stretch too far it's just not possible naturally without the use of anabolic steroids. He was conflicted, and those two drugs were conflicted, anabolic steriods help build muscle right but overusing cortisone wastes the body away making a person lose weight so he would of been taking more and more anabolic steroids to counter that effect, he was just 124 pounds when he died with 1 percent body fat basically skin and bone.
