Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Live at the RDS Dublin playing American Land. Featuring the power switch, the gig they played in Hyde Park before this had the power cut because they went past curfew. [HD Audio/Video]
just turned 16 and got the ticket for my birthday! best birthday present by far :D he was unreal! now i am privileged to say my first concert was the all mighty Bruce Springsteen! Absolutely brilliant :)
was there last night was the best night ever and i love the way he stuck it to the english for switching him off in london. it would never happen in ireland.
I was lucky enough to make it to Sunderland, Manchester and Hyde Park this summer, but no matter how many shows I see on a tour, something always happens that makes me wish I'd made it to just one more. :p
Brilliant gig, wish I'd done 2 nights, gutted today knowing others will see all this and more and I'm missing it. Bruce really knows how to put on a fabulous show.
Loved it....................Had a brilliant time, though i was there on the 18th, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street band you were absolutely brilliant
:-) Deal the blows back with Humor:-) Love Bruce,..loved your comments column, hehe Excellent live post, as all yours are MrCatstail...thanks for the ride, it was lovely! CHEERS 2u!..bravo for the band!!
Thanks for taking the video and for posting it. I was in the stand back a bit and could not get the kind of detail you got. Super quality and of course really good fun on stage
fantastic concert !! whar a performer and what a night !! Wish I could go back again tonight, might go just to stand outside and listen !! Thanks for putting this up and if you have anything else please put it u !
I think it's because the Leinster GAA final is on this Sunday so they don't allow gigs after a certain point because it'll mess up the pitch! So I was told anyway but makes a lot of sense. You've got a point though, as Bruce would definitely sell it out :) Maybe next time!
Fair play to you fella! I was in the seats on the left behind you and the whole place was bouncing so given the environment this is is a first class recording. Thanks for posting, made my night!
Bruce dealt with the situation in he best possible way, he used his sense of humour to have the last laugh. Everyone was on his side before and most certainly will be now.
I was at the 2nd gig,and was like everyone else,in awe.It was my first Springsteen gig and I was wondering why he doesn't play at a bigger venue?Don't get me wrong, the RDS is brilliant, but he could easily sell out Croke Park for a couple of nights.
"pure american"..c'mon man,i dont hear any american indian chants or tom-tom drums goin on here,,,and im a huge Springsteen fan...great video tho...the song or tune is an old irish air...that Bruce injected new life to...a belter of a song..slainte
This is our native soil, this Catalonia land, it exists to become free, and free the citizens, it has been a crossroads of Greeks, Romans and Gauls, sometimes welcoming ones, sometimes a deal of blood. The sixties, promised land, and waiting for 75, amnesty, freedom, and some loses all the way, in the fields, in the scaffold, in Seat and Nissan, succes like in “castellers”, the strength of many hands. “See you no more, señoritos”, and the strong wish to emigrate, bundle, simple cases , and hurry for a better job, crowded trains flowing to Cornellà and Hospitalet, new people to get to know, a new land to work and love. A loving country , with three crests, four plains , and five ports, with the strength of the García, the Fuentes, and the Llauradós, of the Xiulong, the Bergamasco, the Ahmed ,of the Stoickhov, for their wisdom, their sweat, their accent, and their work. The China, the Indostan, open shops until the night, there's risk on the scaffold, there are men from the Magrib, to support aunt Carmetes, it's the arms from Equador, and so many good salads, with Subsaharian colour. You the ones with loyal heart, and callousity on the hands enjoy prosperity , be happy , and share the spring with us, and take part in the fight when the matter it's dignity, language, history and laws, the resources and the flag. We are about the crossroads, patience it's over, a brand new century for all , a full-blown nation for us; And to the ones who prefer us be failed, and be fallen, we'll wave -free- the senyera, we're going to stand up. Bye-bye “España una y grande, adiós toritos bravos”, now let's open every window , it's time to breathe it deep, never again we want tutelages, we are sensible and wise, we'll risk in fully freedom, we'll succeed and it will be great. This is our loving soil, this Catalonia land, it exists to become free and free the citizens, we won't accept tutelage, no more, we have sense, and we've grown, freedom is what we want, for our Catalonia land. Adapted from de song “American Land” by Bruce Springsteen
Seriously, do you not have to be a certain age to use youtube? - you should!! Very childish and immature comment since you can't think of any other description other than profantiy (that's bad words Niall). Why bother looking at this if you don't like it? Are you one of those people who don't like to see others enjoying themselves? Get a life!!
It's frustration mate at what was a typical irish comment about the english. The comment says bruce stuck it to the english. dont think he did, just typical irish anti english comment.
johnnylightningxxx IDK Bruce has spoken pretty openly about the institutional oppression that the Irish dealt with, courtesy of the British Gov't. Maybe that's what he means? There's no denying this, it's like questioning the existence of water. I think many of us that show "Typical anti-English sentiment" are almost always referring to government, not the British people.
Why give pity to someone who is a "libtard"? If you used to be a fan, you'd know he has always had the political beliefs he holds today. A man who is so "sad sorry' wouldn't be selling out arenas and stadiums world wide during his 125 venue tour he is finishing or still selling millions and be rated by RS as the greatest live performer STILL this year. How sad to reject an AMERICAN singer who has the right to speak his mind. Go look for Ted Nugent...there's a certified nut.
