Howard really has grown and changed. He still is nuts -but seems at peace with himself, and not tortured and manic like he was in the 90s. I enjoyed him then, but as he is grown to an authentic whole person. I think people who want 90s Howard might be stuck themselves.

The original "Night Shift" is an incredible song. The Commodores at the time did a phenomenal job with that song. Most people don't understand what it's about. It's nice that Bruce appreciates that song.

As you mature , you grow. It’s an intellectual process .

I got into Bruce when he had born in the USA and tunnel of love.

Having seen him in East-Berlin in 1988, singing Bob Dylan's Chimes of Freedom... I agree, cover songs can be beautiful, if properly selected and arranged, fitting the artist.

I loved Tunnel of Love! I had it on tape (yes I said tape) in my car and someone broke into it and stole all my cassettes, Tunnel of Love being one of them. It broke my heart because I loved that tape.

Lol I love the cars and girls songs. Darkness on the Edge of Town,Born to Run, The River which I think is epic and Born in the USA. No disrespect to The Boss but just what I like best Tunnel of Love started a big change and I still like some after like Radio Nowhere that rocks but we all often like the past for music

Tunnel of Love is Bruce's Blood on The Tracks...a great album...but for me it's either Nebraska or Wild & Innocent at the top.

As much as I loved the Born to Run and The River albums, Tunnel of Love is probably my top album of his.

why sing other people's songs though? He has many unreleased songs and recordings he could revisit.

I loved the 'Tunnel of Love' album. It's the one that got me. Bruce was an 80's also-ran to me before that. With 'Tunnel,' he got my attention. Then I got curious, "What else does he have to say?"
