Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - Badlands (Live In Barcelona) 

For me, the best concert is about the energy and how the performers feed off the crowd. I've been to many concerts from Phish, the Rolling Stones, and the Eagles to Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, Guns N' Roses, Van Halen among others. All of those bands come very close, but Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will always be the best one. The energy and how they feed off the crowd is just phenomenal.

If I had a time machine I would go to this night in Barcelona. It must have been amazing to be in that crowd

You haven’t lived until you’ve seen The Boss play Badlands live...

Hundreds of years from now people will speak of Springsteen the way we speak of Beethoven or Mozart.

Rock is most intense and exiting - *best* - when live & loud. It comes across poorly on television. But IMO this 6 minute video of Bruce Springsteen playing Badlands, one of his many classic songs, in front of, and with the participation of an enormously enthusiastic audience in Barcelona, captures the experience of live rock about as well as the medium allows. But make no mistake, it offers no more than a hint of the experience of seeing Bruce and the band live, in-person, which is one of life's grandest experiences. He was in his early 50s when this was filmed in 2002. I believe now, in March 2019, he's 68 or 69. I hope he continues to tour and play arena-sized concerts for 20 more years, but realistically, only one, maybe two more tours seem possible. If you haven't seen him perform I suggest that doing so become one of your highest priorities. It's something you'll tell your grandchildren about. It'll be a hundred years before there's another Bruce Springsteen, if ever. He's that good.

What an amped crowd. Just wow.

I have seen him 3 times in Gothenburg, Sweden! Pure magic! What a performer! Those concerts were all over 3 hours and could have gone on for another 3 hours. That is how great they were! I have never seen an artist with that drive and energy Bruce has. The connection between Bruce and the crowd was amazing! When he comes to Sweden again I'll be there for another magic concert!

Remember asking my uncle who saw Bruce at Wembley, I said what was it like. He replied that's why they call him the boss. Couldn't argue with that.

Here I am stuck in COVID Lockdown in South Africa! Who cares...I had 2 things on my bucket list...Check seeing THE Boss live in Cape Town, SA!!! (The other is watching Liverpool FC live at Anfield, UK). Glad to have been part of THE BOSS Generation.

A connection with an audience like I have never seen before and will never see again. I went to Long Neck,NJ about 25 years ago to look at some of the places he made famous. Found the apartment above the woman's hair salon where he wrote the album Born to Run. Heading back to my hotel I passed a Pokémon card shop(popular back them),shiny pink Cadillac with the top down parked on the street. The boss came outta that shop with his son. I tried to be cool and just said nice car. He said Hey thanx man. He asked me where I was headed and I told him the name of the hotel and he said I know it,hop in the back. My friends call me a liar when I tell them but it happened. And he was just talking to me like he was a regular nice guy and treated me the same. It is just behind my marriage and the birth of my sons as the greatest thing to happen to me.

The epitome of Bruce in my opinion - the live energy, the band , the lyrics....

This is the greatest live concert performance ever. Still get to see Clarence and Danny on stage. "Wall of sound" that Springsteen wanted, and without IMO those annoying horns that became a fixure in later concerts.

I saw him in 1981 in providence was that considered a good tour ? Saw the Grateful Dead about 1/2 dozen times that year also, but the boss played almost 4 hours , I thought he was going to take a stroke ,

If that crowd went on tour, I'd pay to see that.
