Good job Jim and the Bruins for setting the record for most wins. Also the runner ups as well. Dave getting team the 19 more wins with 40 extra points becoming a record for second year team and beating most if not all teams in 5 on 5 goals. And finally Lindy getting the devils a 49 point improvement. Anyone of these coaches could have won this award.

I always wondered how Montgomery would have done if he had stayed in Dallas. I can't complain because Dallas has gotten farther then he gotten in the playoffs in 2 of the 4 seasons since he's been gone

He personally lost the cup for the Bruins by putting Ullmark(he was injured) in net for six straight games when that was not the case all season and a lot of you people are praising him for the Jack Adams . G F Y to you all .

Hasktol was robbed. We beat the Bruins in Boston. Boston was always good, just got a bit better. Seattle had the best season from where they started the season from...a sub 500 team to playoffs in one year.

Yet Bruce Cassidy's name is name on the Cup...
@TheFoolintherainn

Thanks to a very expensive lesson he learned I've noticed all these bruins fans are experts on Cassidy. Yet none of them have listened to his press conferences this past year-I'm not sure they listen to any of his press conferences. They just click on the clickbait I was chuckling last October listening to Bruce talk about "trusting players vision" That would have come in handy Stanley cup finals 2019-that's about the time I wanted him gone. He didn't trust players-he told seasoned selkie, messier, Stanley cup winners to "do your job follow the system" We almost lost David pastrnak because of him. Cassidy left our trade cupboards bare- didn't see him bringing up rookies very long... He didn't trust them. Would punish them for simple rookie mistakes He benched a few players right in the middle of games, humiliating them. Nope, that ain't right. Gave ahl players them no trade value, plus-minus rating, nor NHL ice time. If Sweeney did not step in, we would have lost David pastrnak. Very expensive lesson.

It was a very expensive wake-up call the Bruins gave him. "Do your job, follow the system" to cup winning, selkie & messier winners? It was fascinating listening to his press conferences last fall-talking about trusting players vision. Which would have been handy in 2019 cup finals-that's about the time I wanted him gone. "Every player has to compete for their position everyday, nothing is a given" We almost lost David pastrnak - Cassidy left him failing on the top line, right after he lost his baby. With Pastas contract negotiation coming up that summer. The first half of the 2021-22 season was a complete failure for David pastrnak. We were losing him. I lost a child, I know how it goes Some of us recall when Milan lucics father died under very sudden and tragic circumstances... It wasn't an accident He totally lost his mojo, Julian tried shuffling him around, they worked with him-we couldn't get him back. He had to be traded, he needed a fresh start in life- nobody wanted it. Jake debrusk spoke up, when pasta was struggling so hard, Jake was ready to take on that top line, he was being held back. After the holidays, they finally put Jake on the first line, dropped pasta down to the second line, they both exploded-the bruins begin to win like crazy David backes, when he was no longer under contract came out on a radio interview and very gently, succinctly spelled out the problems with Cassidy. Having to wait for your posts on transitions, bringing the puck up center ice Game 5 of Stanley cup playoffs 2019, he took out the grit I've been putting smaller players that did nothing. And he refused David krejci and David pastrnak to try playing together on the second line, create mismatches. He refused to trust players' vision Cassidy refused to trust rookies, develop prospects. He would punish rookies for rookie mistakes and send them back down. He gave no AHL players any ice time, to give them + / - value. He left the trade cupboards bare. Bruins had to buy out his contract. Very expensive lesson. And I knew he was going to be dangerous with that chip on his shoulder. So did Patrice bergeron who predicted Vegas would win the cup. Everyone loves Patrice bergeron, if he doesn't want to play for a coach? he's got issues driving him out of the locker room? Then there's a problem. That expensive bruins wake-up call made him a much better Coach. I don't listen to clickbait reporters,but listen to statements straight out of their own mouths. Bruce Cassidy is absolutely a changed man & coach. And it took Mark Stone doing permanent damage to his back. Stone is permanently damaged, he will continue to be injured every season. So Cassidy literally got his cup, off of a player's broken back. But you should learn your hockey history 1970-71: new coach Tom Johnson broke bruins franchise record for most winning season. The record the bruins team beat this past year while setting a new NHL franchise record Historic winning season, yet no Stanley cup The following season, 1971-72 The only added Terry O'Reilly, and the big bad, humiliated bruins came back to win the Stanley cup We'll see what happens... Hockey players are some of the most brutally competitive athletes. The bigger the chip on their shoulder? The better the performance. Same thing goes for coaches. Bruce Cassidy is one of the most competitive coaches out there-don't be fooled. I wanted him gone, but knew damn well he would be dangerous with that chip on his shoulder. I understand he's not cursing like a truck driver in the locker room now, condescending to seasoned veteran hockey players You can be a genius coach all you want, but if you treat your players like crap I feel it's not going to work. Good for him, someone taught him manners.
