Not exactly a buffet, but it is UNLIMITED small plates table service for the great price of $45: Border Grill’s weekend brunch. Wonderful, fresh, creative Mexican food. A terrific value with a nice variety of dishes.
Hey Shin it's been a while hope life is treating you well, anyway I tried this buffet twice almost a few years ago it was just okay for me and what not but things just seemed to be a little off for me concerning this place, I suppose I didn't like the fact that a lot of the dishes were on little separate plates and the quality for me was only so so... even though I spent more than two hours eating trying to get my money's worth each time. I can see now that MGM has taken over this hotel that things have only gone down hill everything that company touches they ruin and from what I'm hearing about the Cosmo nowadays it's not good, the government should have stopped all these mergers in the late 90's and 2000's from ever happening anyway it's really ruined things in Vegas as far as I'm concerned, but as for the buffet I like Caesars a lot better it just has more variety and everyone seems more friendly and happy to be there and the decor is great well enjoy your week we'll catch you on the next one see you later.
Hey Admiral, I've been well thanks. Hope you have been well also! Definitely the mid tier buffet here at the Wicked Spoon. Just doesn't compare to Bacchanal or Wynn. But decent for the price. Thanks for watching!
Personally, I always thought the Bachannal was better than the Wicked Spoon. Thank you Shin, for another fantastic video. Your format is perfect. Please don’t ever change it..
I certainly love the Wynn buffet. I'd go there over Wicked Spoon for sure but sometimes the people I'm with don't want to spend the extra money to go and like the price here. It does fit neatly into that mid range. Thanks for watching!
It's a mid price buffet so you definitely don't get the wow factor like at the Bacchanal or the Wynn buffets. But it's a good choice at its price point. Thanks for watching!
Yeah that's a good question. I guess the Cosmo wants to funnel people to their more pricey restaurants during dinner service when people tend to spend more would be my guess. Thanks for watching GL!
My favorite buffet. Priced right, excellent options and staff is on point always. The crab legs, beef carpaccio and bone marrow are my weakness there lol. I giggled when you called the marshmallows mushrooms 🍄 🤭.
VWS; Happy to report that no crimes were found here at the Wicked Spoon. What a beautiful buffet at such a reasonable price. Crab legs, Shrimp, Tuna crudo, lamb with chimi sauce and everything in between. What an enjoyable feast. Thanks for the visual today. See you Tuesday
Yeh !! My spot would be the mashed potatoes and the carving station, other than that for me not appealing . The desserts looked good though. I still wouldn't pay the price for brunch. Okay nice review thanx !!
Just wondering what day of the week and approx what time did you go. I know you said lunch, but curious of the time cause they change some things out, like no bagels and no wicked juice, the salad replaces that. Great video as always. Happy Easter
To be honest the only thing that looked good to eat was the cheese pizza and the bbq salmon….everything else looked like it had been sitting out for a long time. The bachanal buffet ruins any other buffet for me
Bacchanal is the best hands down for me. But it's almost double the price of the Wicked Spoon so this fits very nicely into that zone. Thanks for watching!
Great review. I went here once back in 2014. So long ago. Have you tried the breakfast/brunch buffet at CHIN CHIN in the NYNY Casino? It’s pretty good and they have made to order omelettes and eggs Benny. Happy Easter!🐰
Hard agree on the whipped potatoes....chunky taters aint it. I do like the mashed potato bar concept. Wonder if they'll ever start serving dinner again.
I'm genuinely curious if we'll ever see the return of the dinner service as well. I've never tried it in the past so it would be nice if they brought it back. Thanks for watching potato!!
Way too many selections! I get overloaded with different tastes. Better to come back a few times and eat one type of food at a time. Usually tourists don't have enough time to do this.
The funny part is, compared to the way Shin usually orders everything off the menu at normal restaurants, a visit to a buffet costs way less than in most of his videos. Before COVID, Wicked Spoon used to be in my Top 5 Vegas buffets. But I have definitely noticed that the quality had already been sliding over the past decade. It is still in my Top 5, but that has a lot to do with many buffets simply never coming back after COVID. The last time I was at Wicked Spoon was Summer 2022. The experience was so underwhelming that I haven't had any desire to return since. Don't get my wrong. The quality of Wynn Buffet and Bacchanal Buffet have also been sliding, but they are still better than Wicked Spoon. I really miss Studio B Buffet at M Resort, though.
I was in Las Vegas last week, and didn't bother to go to Wicked Spoon after watching a video by a popular Las Vegas youtuber who gave it bad reviews, it's okay, I went to the Wicked Spoon twice before the pandemic, and from what I have seen, it hasn't been able to come back to 100% with no dinner service, and so I ended up just sticking with the Bachannal & Wynn buffet last week. I don't know why WS has fallen so far from the way it was before the pandemic.
Yeah, compared to Wynn and Bacchanal, Wicked Spoon is not going to hold much weight. It's unfortunate but I do think they were better before the lock downs. Thanks for watching!
Happy Easter to you as well Lisa! Solid food at the Wicked Spoon for half the price of the Bacchanal so it fits very neatly into its zone. Worth trying I'd say. Thanks for watching!
Seems like the Wicked Spoon gets more praise than it deserves. I think I would skip it and go to AYCE at The Palms. Of all buffets, my fav is still Makinos.
I have never been to the Wicked Spoon but I have seen it reviewed many times and it seems to be going down hill. It used to look like great food now I see a lot of filler food and worn out serving dishes. My absolute favorite is the Wynn buffet. Super high quality food.
I will have a video on their food hall later this year. I actually haven't eaten much there so I'm looking forward to trying it out. Thanks for watching!
I don't think I've ever spent Easter on the strip and I'm back home at my parent's in California this weekend to spend the time with them so I couldn't say. The Monday after I imagine would be relatively slow though.
I really love the buffet at THE WICKED SPOON! Everything looked awesome. The meats: the Tri Tip the chicken, the ham didn't look good to me. Love the bowls for the sides. The Indian simosas. The curry mussels must've been fantastic. The angry mac-n-cheese rustic mashed potatoes is my favorite good! The Korean station looked good kimchi, noodles. The Chinese station the pork belly looked good. The pork dumplings. Guacamole looked good. Like all the desserts the tirimisu, creme brulee, chocolate cookies, peach cobbler, Gelato any flavor. Love the Bacchanel Buffet that you blogged the best buffet. So big and alot of tasty choices from this buffet. Still love this one for the price!!!
Yes for the price I think the Wicked Spoon is very good. Those curried mussels. I could go back just for those they were so tasty. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your excellent review as usual . After reviewing your past buffet videos, I think the Four Seasons buffet looks much the best. I've heard some mixed reviews of Wicked Spoon. Hope things are well with you and yours and I look forward to your future reviews.
I had to laugh when you were explaining the ice-cream toppings and called the Marshmallows Mushrooms. I love mushrooms on my ice-cream. It's very gourmet tasting don't forget the sprinkles!
Shin, I was hoping that you would wake up on Easter morning with 20.0k Easter eggs (subscribers). No matter what, you don't have to look behind flowers and trees to find them! Enjoyed the buffet!
Lol I appreciate that. I still can't believe 20k is on the way. I thought 10k would be impossible so 20 feels a bit surreal. Just keep swimming. Thanks for watching!
I love the 8AM correction belch 0:16 🤣 Foods look pretty good for the price, now that Cosmopolitan is connected via walkway bridge, I need to check this buffet out!
Oh yeah! I forgot about that walkway bridge. I should also check that out. Good price point here for sure. And yes, I had to correct it because someone next to me screamed a huge F*ck as i said 8am in the video lmao. Thanks for watching!
Thx Shin...now I know that I miss nothing not going to Wicked Spoon 😂 I stay with Wynn when I come back to Vegas in July....I was once with Bacchanal but I prefer the Wynn...
You this is interesting..... because you hear about this place being so good. I was supposed to go there a while back but I didn't know it closed so early ( which is weird being in Vegas ) but seeing this I didn't miss anything. For the price I'd been upset, this looks like one of those 5.99 buffet's you would ass in Reno.
Most seem to agree that the buffet's prime was prior to the 2020 lockdowns. It had been a long time since I've visited so hard for me to recall that far back. Thanks for watching!
They had an omelet station so you can get eggs cooked to order there. Don't think I saw sausage but I do think the menu slightly changes around 11am to the more lunch style you saw me have. Thanks for watching!
Wow! The amount of granite, onyx and blown glass is stunning! There was such an array of food choices and the ambience was very inviting. I would love to eat some of the uncommon food items as that would be a good chance to try them. The price seemed to be a great deal and it seemed like you enjoyed most of it. Thanks for bringing us this video Shin.
Hi Shin. It was pleasure meeting you this day. It was very exciting for my wife and I to see you while waiting in line to be seated. I'm the guy at 0:24 with the camo shirt and grey beard waiting in line. We love and watch all of your videos. Keep up the good work.
I haven't been to the Wicked Spoon Buffet since 2015 during a local anime convention that was going on at Planet Hollywood. I thought the food was okay but not as fresh. Though it was near the end of the night during dinner service when they had one. Might want to give it another try one day but I'll stick with the Wynn buffet (which I'll be going to near the end of April during LVL Up Expo lol)
So grateful for this review! This is one of our favorite buffets in Vegas. I love when they have the bread pudding with whiskey vanilla sauce. Another go to buffet for us is Fresh at the Westgate. We love to stay there so it is convenient, reasonably priced and the food is pretty good. Los Cuocos (off strip) Cafe does a wonderful brunch also!
Yes! The Fresh Buffet is actually a very good value as well I think. Unfortunately Cuscos canceled their Sunday brunch buffet and it's no longer a thing. Thanks for watching Ruth!
Vanilla ice cream is my favorite, and I can just imagine how delightful it was to combine it with that peach cobbler~😋 Coincidentally enough, the weather has gotten warmer where I am, and I’m compelled to buy some ice cream now. Thanks for making me hungry yet again, Shin~😂
Right on brotha. I like how on every buffet video you do, you take your time and show everything that they offer instead of just what you put on your plate. Love that part, bro. It really gives you an idea of what they are offering in case we are interested in going. Thanks for doing that. Keep it up bro. Another good vlog. Salud 🍻
Asia Buffet > Wicked Spoon. Take away the more expensive proteins, hard to justify paying almost $30 dollars more for so so food. Also, Wicked Spoon need to improve their Asian food offerings. I mean, who puts bell peppers on ramen?
I think if you're on the strip, it's still a solid choice for the price point. An Uber ride to and from one of the off strip Asian buffets would make up the difference in price and could be more during surge pricing. Thanks for watching!
