Ten hag: we dont do that here.. *look at me TenHag: im the captain now! Espn just dont accept CR7 leadership and mindset. They blame him before, now they Bruno for speaking how great and better CR7 captaincy is
Based on the fitness levels Bruno and Dalot have maintained, and Ronaldo when he was here, it would be a good idea to put the whole team on a Portuguese diet! And what are these bozos moaning about. Luke Shaw and Maguire have said they enjoy playing for England more. But when a foreign player says it, it's blasphemy.
Please send us the evidence of Luke Shaw and Maguire saying those things, respectfully. I agree that the English media is biased on many, many fronts. With that being said there's no need to make up incidents.
@@seemymobot4987 are you serious? United fans will remember Shaw's interview in 2022. "Man Utd hard to enjoy' - Shaw admits feeling best with England national team amid 'not good enough' club season" Can't sit and search Maguire's, but he did say something similar once. Basically any player would say that because the pressure is immense at United and it's easier for them at their international duties, but the media dissect the words of the foreign players much more.
@@thatswhatshesaid3126 So where in 'hard to enjoy' do you manage to extrapolate "I'm not surrounded by enough quality players"? Which is exactly what Bruno said. Also, Bruno is the captain. Agreed, just like Ronaldos interview with Piers Morgan; everything he said is correct, I just don't think it's right he's saying it to the media. The media jumped on it in this instance, because of the level of criticism and his position as captain. Not because of British bias. Added into that, ESPN is an American network Looooooooooooool
Fancy moaning about the food in a first world country when you’ve enough money to have a personal chef cook all your food at home and barely even notice it on your bank balance.
@Stick1983z You’re very ironically describing how dire English food is by suggesting he needs a personal chef in the first place. English food isn’t good.
@vincentfrimpong4665 food in the UK is a bit behind? Are you on drugs. The UK has perfect temperate weather and lush fertile soil for farming. It doesn't have the over dry weather like Portugal or Spain which is suitable for a limited amount of crop types. The UK has arguably some of the best fish in the world especially from parts fo scotland and northern East atlantic UK waters. Its grade of Beef is world renound, where do you actually think Angus is? The quality control in our supermarkets is higher than nearly every European country. A lot of Europeans I know hadn't even heard of Sell by, used by and best before dates. Sorry but to the UK has lower standards is completely wrong.
Everything Bruno said is facts. And it’s hilarious how much Frank was laughing about Bruno’s comment about English food being bad. Luis was also very clearly agreeing.
You're clearly lacking in emotional intelligence ,It's facts but it's not the right thing to do...your wife is ugly but its not right to say that to her as the leader of your home
@BrendanM.13 First red card was rescinded. Second sending off was BS on both cards. I say that as a neutral as well. Porto player wasn’t even touched on Bruno’s second yellow card and pretended he had a head injury when he was never touched. That player should have been booked, not Bruno.
They should remove the importance of the captain role at United because there are not characters there who have the qualities. It should be given to whoever is the most senior player on the pitch.
Considering every player trying to talk/coerce the referee should be booked if they're not the captain Fernandez would be sent off after twelve minutes each game if he isn't protected by the armband.
Bruno and ETH are the main reasons why the club is moving backward. Their talk is far louder than their action. The club will NEVER move forward with them still there.
United are actually winning more than yous tho 😂 is juat competing good enough now is it? If you grew up in wenger fergie era you'd know it's about winning trophies
@lefthandlee 😂😂 dumb united fans that's why I don't feel sorry for you guys even when it's evident your sh!t you search for come back😂😂 feed hungry dawg they'll turn around and bite you😂😂
@lefthandlee I'm actually complimenting Utd's history and am being jealous of their trophies. I would like them battling us as Arsenal are getting up to legitimately challenge for trophies. What are you on about mate?
I never liked him as the choice for captain. He's the type of player I HATE playing with. That whiny, complaining energy is a detriment to a team in my opinion. How do you rally around a guy like that?
it’s all venting at his own shortcomings. The guy is massively overrated and a huge problem when it comes to asserting any sort of control over midfield. His fans trade it off as high risk but that’s the nice way of saying he’s a liability.
Bruno is right BUT he shouldnt say that publicly. A captain doesnt say that publicly. To the rest of the squad, they will see it as, arrogant and feel hes disrespectful.
Those aren't shots fired at anybody. Praising one thing does not mean criticising another. Some people sat around a production office tasked with making this benign comment something "juicy". Shame on them.
Because of English media and pundits or because of being a man of the match in the Portuguese team yesterday yesterday?or maybe you are the worst person here.
@@debest5485 Bruno is - or can be, we haven't seen it much lately - a great player. He is also entirely unsuited to the role of captain. We see his head go at the slightest hint of adversity, we see him sulking, we see him blaming everyone around him for everything that goes wrong. There are lots of different ways you can be a leader; the way Bruno does it is not one of them. I suspect that on some level Bruno knows this better than anyone. Giving the armband to someone else - literally anyone else - would be better for everyone, including for Bruno.
@@matthewbaker2573 You can keep saying that all you like, the evidence is there for everyone to see. I’d be embarrassed to think someone with that poor an attitude was in my club’s reserves, never mind captaining the first team.
England has now a brilliant food culture..it's not English food but a great selection of restaurants gastro pubs, delis, food markets and chefs trained around the world. Manchester isn't the highlight for that but the city and region has plenty of high level food spots.
@urahodet4878 Dream on. Mount is injured, again. Mount literally can’t stay fit for more than 2-3 matches in a row. He’s worse than Shaw and Martial, seriously.
Even during the 1st day of signing him, I knew the United board blundered. Worse still they increase his salary to £200k per week which is really stupid. Teams like Brighton, Wolves or even Villa, wont ever want him. United blundered again.
I’m Portuguese and I had to find the original clip, because as I suspected things got lost in translation. No point posting it for non-speaking Portuguese but expressions in Portuguese simply don’t translate word for word in English, whether the food comment or why he was at ease, it’s nowhere close to the ‘insult’ to Man United or British cuisine people are making it out to be.
No one is offended about cuisine lol no one cares if he only eats coco pops. It’s the fact he is talking about food at all when that is no excuse when you have enough money to buy 5 restaurants in central London 😂
Matey just said he’s enjoying his time with his national team. These lot have turned it into a broadside against the Utd team! Must be a slow news week…
@@Octopus_MTEF_MinEco_BU The media do sometimes draw unfair conclusions, but there really isn't a way to read what he's said that isn't an implied attack on United. He doesn't mentioned United by name, but he's drawing a contrast with something and the only thing it could be is that he is comparing playing for Portugal with playing for United.
Fernandes reminds me of that girl I used to know in infants school, she never stopped crying, constantly bawling her eyes out, she was about 5 at the time admittedly, Fernandes is how old? Man up you big girls blouse. On a side note, I hope the little girl in the my infants class has had a very happy life, it was over 50 years ago🎉
Maybe but he agreed to captain these “pub footballers” and extend his contract with these “pub footballer”, so maybe he should shut his mouth and look inward. Its not like he is playing like prime Messi, he is playing like a sack of potatoes himself, and Thats on him!
Media clasping at straws. Guy just said he's home. How has that ever been a bad thing? Of course communication is better with people that speak the same. Of course he's playing with talented people. So what do these guys want? Would love to hear what better captain they think United can come up with. Rashford? Casemiro? Martinez who's struggling with fitness?
He is simply saying that it feels good to get away for a bit. To be home, to speak his language, to be with his family and to be away for a moment from the circus that is united. I bet if Maguire said this would it be a big deal?
Stevie is at least consistent, he also did not agree with Ronaldo telling the truth about United. Frank has proven to be a hypocrite said he does not support Ronaldo telling the truth but when Bruno does he calls it refreshing.
Rival fans (including myself)... let's have a very big laugh. Hahahahaha. We are all appreciating Eric ten Hag in making Man Yawnited as a comedy relief (the most laughable club) at this very moment. LOL
Espn only blame ETH and now they pointing fingers at Bruno tht dressing room is a mess anyone can notice tht they r so uninterested lazy and always sleeping on the pitch im a neutral fan but i feel sad for ETH and also to see how dumb the United fanbase is blaming ppl who they should support with such a dressing room a build up can talk more then a decade
He is literally talking about Portugal said nothing about United. We as a species need to remember/recognise that being for something does not automatically make you against something else
Sorry to say as a captain, any issue arises should find a solution not washing your dirty clothes out in public. By doing this, basically Fernamdes don't have the quality of a captain and as a player too for United.
Deviating slightly from the point of this conversation, but as an Englishman who works throughout Europe, I can honestly say some of the worst meals I've ever paid for have been in France! It's a complete fallacy that French food is a cut above the rest, half the time it's just over priced SHITE! I do concede that Portuguese food is generally great though, there's just not a massive amount of variety.
To be fair, he is from Portugal! Relatively nice compared to rainy Manchester. He does get paid handsomely though! If I were him, I'd keep my mouth shut while I'm living the high life
I don't see a problem with Bruno saying that. Like Frank said, it's facts and everyone knows it. ManU have been a mess for a while now. And yes he's also the captain but it's frustrating for the players too
everyone getting all hot n bothered when the proofs in the pudding Manchester United are a league 2 team in comparison to how Portugal play and Bruno is a part of that. so if you support Manchester United bite your lip and suck it up because you should be used to taking Ls in recent times but honestly what he said should be used in a positive way if you support Manu like awareness to improve
Remove Bruno from Portugal you probably don't miss much, Most prtugese will tell you they don't play well but the quality wins. Bruno shouldn't improve himself?, utd pay him that much for him to say wow everything in portugal is better, Bruno basically did the lukaku😂 but since it isn't to another club it's fine I guess
He said he had better food not the best food he’s obviously comparing England vs Portuguese food why is a Frenchman getting upset and defensive it’s got nothing to do with the French 😂
I wasn't even offended when I heard it live 'cause: 1. Bruno has been terrible for us this season, & even though he got 2 BS red cards, as a captain & experienced player, he could've avoided them (except less for the 2nd one 'cause that was total BS). 2. I loved Bruno last season, but he was disappointing at national level. I was enjoying all the other Portugal midfielders more than I was him. His corner kicks & set pieces taken were atrocious! So, do his national teammates still feel his a quality player playing at a high level right now as well? I doubt it. I'm still hoping he bounces back & gets his stuff sorted at United.
When Pogba was saying things like these.... They should not have given him a new contract, with his age, and the fact its gonna take us a while to rebuild he should have been sold Oh, and back to back, f****** red cards, We are right back to where we were under Ole
So tired of jurnos and pundits creating their own narrative. He's playing for his country. Of course he will speak highly of his country's side and players. ESPN and Sky Sports in particular are absolutely ridiculous.
Read Bruno's quote it's not only praising his country lol, I have BETTER food, not good but better, it's a SPACE were I feel good, I SPEAK my language Bro really did a lukaku but about his country Imagine Bruno went to athletico Madrid and to Spain and they asked him what do you think of athletico and Spain and said this, He is paid 350k or something and he says better food, he can get himself a chef if that's what his affecting his man utd performance He speaks his own language, do a bielsa get yourself a translator
The narrative is there in the text on this one. He is speaking comparatively, there really is no context which makes sense other than it being an attack on United.
Fernandes antics went unpunished for the last few seasons as he has personally played well largely, however he has been completely average this season and this won’t go unnoticed by the club hierarchy.
