Fun fact: according to the DVD commentary no one besides the cast and Harrison Ford was in on it. Them going to fashion week was leaked and they had to sneak him in and he was arrested and almost cavity searched by a pissed Italian police officer 😂

I wasn’t 18 when this came out so my mom had to take me to see it since I love Borat and Sacha so much but seeing it with her was a little weird at like 16 years old 😂

It's always puzzling to me to see how repressed today's young people are. Comparing reactions between these two ladies demonstrates it perfectly. Mom is thoroughly entertained but her daughter feels ashamed that she finds many things funny and has to virtue signal how inappropriate it is to her. They're jokes, get over it.

The scene in the hotel room where's he's chained to the guy was done at a Holiday Inn in Wichita, KS where I was living at the time. The entire "incident" (which is what it was believed to be at that time) made the local news. I also believe, if I remember, although it was a long time ago, that Cohen broke his arm, or a leg, or some appendage while filming it and ended up having to go to the hospital.

Sacha Baron Cohen is the brilliant man being all these characters, a bunch of people who have appeared in his shows and movies, have sued him afterward. He made a show that aired in 2018 called Who Is America? Hilarious show, there he messes with a bunch of famous people and politicians.

Theres a deleted scene where Latoya Jackson showed up to his celebrity interview scene...But they cut it out because Michael had just passed when the movie was released. You can look it up though.

It’s on the dvd extras. I saw Borat and Bruno both in the theater. I’m surprised people didn’t die laughing. When he came out in that mankini near the start of Borat I really thought no one will survive this movie. His appearance on Howard stern is legendary too
