Finally I found it!!! :D Here is a great video of the new Brunswick GS-NXT Pinsetter. I do not own this video! Found it on Facebook: Mike Eaton Jr. - Spectrum Entertainment Complex
YES. Finally a good video of it working. Seems a bit slow, but much quieter than the GSX. It also seems to be more efficient in its movements. Even if it has an AMF style sweep, I like how it drops more quietly than an AMF. I do prefer the GSX sweep tho as it drops faster.
That’s my home center. This place is gonna be incredible when it’s done. Full renovation of the entire complex! I’ll be doing a full tour video when it’s done, and most of my ball reviews will be on these lanes when it’s done.
I agree with the faster sweep drop on the GSX, and I do think AMF could have pulled this off. But I will say, the GSX sweeper mech seems quite flimsy, especially when it gets pulled up at the end of the cycle. It seems as if the motor doesn't have enough power to handle the sweep weight. The AMF scissor system for the sweep just works better in general imo.
A long time ago, my wife and I used to bowl at the Coffman Union at the University of Minnesota. They had it set up so you could walk down and see the pinsetting machines from the side of lane 1. I think the drop-down pinsetters were a lot more interesting than these.
GS-X I like but both versions leave the pins stacked in the pit too long waiting for the shovels to pick them up in just the right way. Even with the T-Band and pin deflectors adjusted spot on, if too many pins end up on the ball door side the design flaw still allows for the accelerator to get a pin into it. The one thing that doesn't drop the sweep....so the bowlers keep throwing balls and you end up with a 20 minute problem to clear because that sweep wouldn't drop. If the GS series incorporated gravity-based ball returns like the A-2.... We would have a much higher FPS.
I wish I could make the sweep of it but just like AMF’s, the parts of the sweep is so difficult that I might messed up and not able to move it. Also what’s the name of your Facebook ? I just wanted to add you as a friend and we could chat about the specs of this machine.
@@riverdealer what was hybrid of AMF in the GS-10? Only the t-band is close to an AMF on those. Pin elevator, method of pin transport, table, pin holders, sweep, motors, electronics is all different..
AMF style sweep and GSX style setting table, if it’s very rare for this machine to get problems even with maintenance a couple times a year or two then Brunswick really is smart
My center’s GS-X are worn down extremely, so hopefully the owner is aware of these new machines, and buys them when they are out of development completely. They seem really quiet and efficient!!
Actually that is quite sad, either the machines are crap or the maintenance is very poor. I would be inclined to go with the latter of the 2. They can't be that old as GS-X is a fairly newer machine. Many centers have Brunswick A, A2 and AMF 30/ 70 are going strong at 70 years plus.
@@Andy-zs3jb. It’s just more on poor maintenance since with Electronic were like the pinsetter’s least thing to check for proper maintenance. I can’t put any hate on GS since they were ok when I bowled on them but when I bowled on AMF, they were trash. This is my personal experience Bowling on both poor maintained 24 Brunswick GS-92’s and 16 AMF 82-90 XL’s here in Davao City, Philippines and I could see the difference on both sides of the aisle on what happens if pinsetters are in poor countries that never taken care of.
@@ikonix360 exactly. The gsx is filled with plastic that breaks or wears down, and without proper maintenance, it destroys itself and the house balls.
@@tcktck1178very true, at least the spring tube that compressed the rake arms in the A pinsetter machines won’t be there anymore when they are replaced with GS-NXT machines over Xmas in our center I bowl at :)
The setting table remains unchanged, the only difference is that the table rack tubes were replaced with cranks that lift and lower the table like the AMF pinspotter.
Unfortunately They had these at Incredible Mo's but they were nothing but trouble. They always glitched like about 3 times the sweep came down just as I threw my 10 LB Ball and it hit the sweep. They have sense been ripped out and replaced with gsX
i have also noticed that pinsetter replacement on incredible mos... and yeah i have talking to a center manager in hungary... there is a bowling alley (Five X Bowl) they have also changed to gs next on lane 1 and 2, but i have heart the gs-next is not better than the gsx... I can not judge it, i really like to play on one of those machines :D
Who cares ? Its already there. Also I personally don’t like AMF cause me and my League Mates bowled on GS-92’s in the past at our original home bowling center that was burned down which the pinsetters were ok to us but then we moved out and now currently at another center that had 82-90 XL’s and they’re garbage.
Yeah but the NexGen Box was crap, you know Electronics on AMF and GS were not as good as on the A2’s. The electronics on the GS-NXT were much better than on the GSX where it could shut off randomly or even AMF sends a random command to the table to lower at the wrong time.
@@PinoyBowlerGS92 I bowled on early production models that were temporarily installed at Incredible Mo's and all of those things you mentioned in terms of the glitches happened frequently. Until Their last few months there then they ironed out most of the bugs. It mostly happens during Angry Birds Bowling. The software for both GSX and NXT is too slow. I hit the sweep last Sunday on a GSX
How did Brunswick get a hold of the AMF sweeper system? Not that I'm disappointed - I never liked the original GS sweep with that ugly arm on the left side that always traveled up and down with the carriage assembly and had to engage on a metal pin to lift the sweeper itself from the alley... I just wondered why Brunswick just didn't bring back at least the sweep design from the old A/A2/JetBack units? Maybe the gearing was different, or something...
All the A series through Jet-back rake designs used cams and gears/worm shafts. Something the GS series doesn't have, it's literally just a shaft, belt drive and motor assembly for the GS rake. You could possibly fit an A series rake on a GS, but the distributor shaft and distributor design would radically be changed. Given that GS is Cam Timed. And the A2's use a 0-360° position of gears to determine machines position during cycles.
@@thatPG23 - Like I said, I don't mind seeing an AMF sweeper assembly on a Brunswick GSX, it works just as good as the ones on the old A/A2/JetBack units... I just wondered how they crossed that line?
If Brunswick really and truly got out of the bowling business, why are new pinsetter products being produced with it's name still? In my opinion, only the A / A2 was the TRUE Brunswick pinsetter.
Brunswick sold all their bowling business. Centers went to then Bowlmor/AMF now Bowlero. The capital equipment/bowling balls got sold to some other company.
@@riverdealer As the ever knowing Batman said, Brunswick has sold off everything from the bowling business to another company. That company is able to continue using the Brunswick name, though it isn't truly Brunswick Corp., if that makes sense?
Listen, I’ve bowled on Brunswick GS-92’s and they were fine by me and my League Mates (we personally prefer those than AMF 82-90 XL’s which were worse) cause of the Set Button. Now don’t get confuse with the Set Button and Reset Button cause both are similar but different, the Reset Button only allows to cycle the pinsetter to the next ball while the Set Button recovers your 2nd Ball Combination Shot. Let’s say I left the 2-10 Split and the 2 Pin fell on 2nd Ball, without a mechanic calling and as long as the Pin Detection plate on the Pin Holder touches the Pin, you can recover your shot by press the Set Button, let it Cycle for a few seconds and my 2-10 Combination has been corrected. Well what about my Pin Selecting ? Sure just use the Sync Scoring or the Pin Indication Buttons on the Brunswick 2000 Ball Return just by press the pins you want to remove and let the pinsetter set for you without calling a lazy ass mechanic. What about deadwoods ? No deadwoods at all flying out which gives less hassle for mechanics.
