I giggled when you said we're therapy for you because you're therapy for me! With what's going on in Ukraine, with what's going on with a former president and members of a grand jury and a district attorney in Georgia, I really want to put my eyeballs on animals and on kind and gentle people. I love how you care for your furry clients and I love to see how they trust you in return. Frankie is such a sweet boi and he looks so gorgeous after his brush out! Congratulations on your grandson, though you look too young to be a grandpa. I like hearing him in the background. It shows you with life going on around you instead of in some some sterile, loveless existence. I don't find it distracting in any way. Thank you very much! ❤

Re: Not following a pattern and doing a few swipes of the tail - I've found when the dogs are especially matted moving around and not "worrying" a spot keeps the dog comfortable. So if you have spots that are pulling, rather than working it to death, do a few swipes and keep coming back.

That was a good reminder. My cockerpoo is high maintenance too (and hates being groomed) He missed his last grooming appointment because of an unexpected operation and the groomers dogs having kennel cough…I didn’t want to chance it. You can imagine what he’s like now…about a month later 😱 (a yeti!) So this has encouraged me not to be overwhelmed and keep at it till his appt nxt week…thank you Rudy. X

Thanks for sharing. I’ve always been afraid of the slicker brush. It seems like it would hurt. It was amazing how effective you were at removing the tangles and mats. I have a Shih Tzu in long coat,Havanese mix, Mastadoodle and long hair cat. Grooming is a daily thing for me. Appreciate your advice. ♥️

Just brushed out my Shih Tzu who is a wiggler during grooming. She did much better when I used the slicker brush and your techniques. I brushed out the Havanese in a few minutes. Glad I saw your video and decided to give my slicker brush another chance 😊

Sorry about the late response..That is a very good question..You can do what's called Brush Burning, if you brush one area to long, but generally no,because the bristles of the brush are connected to a rubber piece, that makes them pliable, and bend..You also do not want to brush to hard,but it is something that you can feel as your doing it..Thank you for watching us

You can use that also, and dogs often shake while being groomed out of nervousness and anxiety..

Brushing every day is overkill. 3x a week will work fine for all but the smallest dogs who will need every other day. The reason the smaller dogs need more is because the urine and feces problem is much greater on a Yorkie and/or Shih Tzu, for instance, than a Goldendoodle who is 65 lbs.
