@Captain Caveman its not safe to sleep in ruins, every single normal human knows that this kind of act is dangerous in iran! There is bad people every where. Where do you think people that do drugs and thief, stay or sleep in nights? in the street? no ofc they go to ruins because they know no one comes there, and think bad people come to their place and see a beautiful foreign women sleeping in there. you could guess what was possible to happen after that.

I think we should live in a world where both women and men should feel totally safe and equal. If a man can pitch a tent anywhere, so should a woman. We are not there yet unfortunately. The locals who called cops on you, were good people and did so out of concern for your safety. Knowing Iranians, had you ended up staying the night in that place, those guys would have stayed the night in the vicinity to watch over you. I'm sure it was a relief for them when the police showed up. Remember, the locals always know more about their environment than visitors do :).

Well........the cops DID make the point that there are wild dogs in the area and perhaps they were potentially dangerous? In Canada, a bear will sometimes come into a camp site to steal food and such an encounter can be dangerous - so maybe the cops were trying to protect her? Though I did laugh when she asked if she could camp at the police station!

let me tell you something. (As an Iranian!) In the part of camping by the ruins, there is a very good chance that the guy who made you leave the area and even called the police, has been the true good guy, as opposed to one that gave you (sold you?) the grapes. I'm not sure what that grape man was up to, but I know a well-intentionedd local would make you leave that area with suspicious intruders.
@kidlikerizzle
@kidlikerizzle 4 года назад
The police had your best interest at heart for sure. You think the wild dogs won't come to your tent but I desert camp home (Iran) when I go and more than once the dogs have entered my tent. Once bumped heads with me to wake me up lol. Apart from that it can also be dangerous to camp alone, man or woman. As nice as Iranian are 98% of the time, there are those that will rob you blind without a second thought so best they didn't let you camp somewhere so quiet. All in all, I hope you enjoyed Iran. My family and I enjoyed your Iran videos.. it made us miss home.
@vp4744

Iran has been consistently picked as the friendliest place of all countries. For example, see the videos of a couple traveling the world on their bicycles. They've been all across Europe, Middle East, and the Russian Republics. They swear the Iranians are the friendliest. It is not surprising given that from ancient times, their climate and region was harsh and they developed hospitality as a survival mechanism. Imagine finding an Iranian lost in an American city. He'd be arrested on sight. Nice of the mayor's family to make you feel welcome and letting you interact with their children. That's the highest compliment one can receive. Of course food, water, shelter, and other conveniences are just incidental to their hospitality. EDIT: The link to the video referenced above is here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S3PnEwpvGDY.htmlm46s . There are many other examples like this. The very first time I ever heard was from a wrestling team that came back from a tournament in Iran.

RO3 I think you need to learn to actually read what other people say before you go around calling others retarded and ignorant. What the OP said is simply that many people in Iran are very friendly, he never mentioned about how Iranians are treated in the U.S or how they're portrayed in the news. No one here ever criticized or blamed Americans for treating Iranians like shit or the U.S as a country. Triggered and Delusional much?

He changed his travel plans as he wanted to travel to Iran in a couple weeks. Did you see/notice anything of that?
