Very nice conversion to brushless👍! May I ask why you use a outrunner motor instead of a inrunner?

The Outrunner motors are lighter with just about the same power. In runners have a higher center of gravity and don’t handle as well.

So what's the difference between the 1106 and 1108?

The 1106 is 2mm shorter than a 1108. The longer 1108 has more torque because of the longer rotor (more magnet surface)

This only works with a Castle Creations Talon 25 esc that has been modified for slot cars. There is a video on this channel explaining it.

Wrong. It was a terrible performance video. Can't you SEE all the tire marks on the track in the Wrong locations? Can't you HEAR the scraping noises in the corners? Can't you SEE he MISSED every braking zone? You obviously have little education.

Is this the track known as The King there's a track in Houston that I run at that looks a lot like this track I just got back into slot car racing I first raced them back in the 60s it's hard to find the track nowadays but I recently found one and got back in it

Between a brushless and a cobalt magnet motor. Is there any big difference in speed?

That depends on what armature is in the cobalt setup. Overall the brushless motors are a lot cheaper with no maintenance than cobalt.

@@Mr_Wilson66 There is a brushless wing car that turned 1.9 second laps on a King track in California. The track records was reset in Florida on a 125 foot Hillclimb to 2.1 seconds with a brushless powered wing car too.

@@brushlessslotcarracing great!! hope that in a near future all groups and type of cars come to brushless motors. There is something romantic and you need lot of skills this brushed motors, but brushless is easy maintenance, not to much to replace parts and brushes and much cheaper

@@Mr_Wilson66 with brushless you need skills aswell, the switch from brushed to brushless doesn't take away skills, it just is different and can have more power in the same size and they don't really need maintenance, so all benefits

The switch is a modified Talon 25amp Castle Creations ESC that works with a slot car controller. The link to the free download is in the description box under the video.

Yes it’s a Talon 25 that has been reprogrammed to power a brushless motor with track power through a slot car controller.

@Brushless Slot Car Racing are you still dealing with the on power delay during longer applied brake duration? What about the low speed problem with these esc? I believe these need a min of like 5v to start rolling where brushed is like 2v.

It’s actually an esc that has been modified to work off of track power with a slot car controller. A Castle Creations Talon 25 esc is used. The download is in the description box for the Castle link.

@@brushlessslotcarracing that's very good! It's a great idea to put brushless power into a slot car! This is definitely going to get people renew interested in the hobby like it did with RC!
